Crazy like a fox. Toss this escape artist/con man in the max security with the other "actors".

The one million dollar plus project probably consists of a 15 foot mesh security fence. This should reduce the number of escapes to about six a year

Is he from a rich family? It takes an expensive lawyer to buy your way into that hospital and avoid Halawa. This guy is so crazy that he managed to escape and evade the entire prison and police force.

At least the escapee won't jam up traffic.

More strict and severe punishment should apply here; especially if the bbaassttarrd got off lightly on the offense committed. Now he escapes from his comfy surroundings? Perhaps a one shot, one kill approach would've been a better solution for this vermin. Maybe the authorities can catch him and leave him in a food stand overnight in Chinatown and let the rats eat at him all night.

I know why he "escaped".... to "escape" from the constant rumble of illegal fireworks going off next door in the Hokulele Subdivision.

When I first heard that the police tracking dogs were being used I just laughed my head off! Those dogs can't track their way out a cardboard box. Remember the lady who was lost in the hills above Pearl City with her little dog? How about the man who was disoriented in the hills behind Heeia a few years ago? Those dogs can't track ANYTHING and the program should be disbanded. Just like the horse mounted police.

I am David True Seal's auntie. He never sexually assaulted or kidnapped anyone. He had a mental breakdown nine years ago and did something crazy that the authorities construed as kidnapping and ATTEMPTED sexual assault. Your story says he sexually assaulted an eight year old girl but he was charged with attempted sexual assault, there was no sexual act, but not according to your story. You never investigate the facts or get any other side to the story, you just repeat what the "authorities" tell you. He recovered from his mental breakdown years ago but the state hospital will not let him out after nine years because he refuses to take their anti-psychotic drugs, because he is not psychotic and there are serious side effects to these drugs that he cannot tolerate. Why don't you do some research into the controversy over these drugs. Look at the inserts that come with these drugs warning about the side effects such as,the drugs cause psychosis, aggression, suicidal tendencies, as well as many serious physical problems. The last time I spoke with my nephew he told me his doctor was trying to get a court order to force him to take the drugs.

According to the report, he was found not guilty by reason of insanity. You claim he had a mental breakdown. Based on your diagnosis, it seems to me he should have been convicted because a mental or nervous breakdown is not the same as insanity, in which a person lacks the ability to determine right from wrong. So, which is it?

mental breakdown, psychotic episode, temporary insanity, whatever, he did not have the ability to determine right from wrong at the time, nine years ago. I have known him all his life, before he became mentally ill, during his illness, and I saw him steadily recover. You all are so quick to be judge and jury. Do you believe the "authorities" always tell you the truth? Do you believe the media investigates the facts or just repeats what the authorities give them? Are you an expert on mental illness, are you saying someone who is insane will never recover? If you spoke to his family and friends about him you would find that he is well loved, for good reason.

this guy doesn't sound insane to me.
if he scaled a 14 foot high fence he 1. did it on impluse or 2. he gave it at least some thought. I'm no shrink, and I could very easily be wrong, but i did earn BA's in Administration of Justice and Psychology and I think this guy escaped because he's a preditor and he's looking to prey on anonter child.
He needs to be behind bars not in a hospital setting.

Was this guy living in West Loch Estates? If so, I know him. He assaulted my daughter in law on two occasions and got away with it because he was a mental out-patient. The cops' hands were tied. In response, I gave her some mace and I followed her around with a .45 in my pocket but he was turned back in by his family before me met.

Liz,

Please tell us you are not harboring this criminal. If you are giving him a place to stay you should be in jail too. There is no sympathy for people like this.

You can be a loving person and have a dark or crazy side that can overwhelm you. If you lose control and hurt somebody else, you have to earn back trust and confidence. It sounds like your family has taken him back. That's good. But you have to understand why the larger community is reluctant to do so, especially when he abused our trust by running away instead of facing up to his problems like a resposible adult. You think he's the first person in the world to snap? The idea is to pull yourself out of the muck and become a welcome member of the community again. This man seems to have trouble doing the right thing. Of course he doesn't want to be locked up, but this is not the way to go about proving he's deserving of trust.

Another family member blind to the truth. Bottom line he was caught taking off an 8 year old girl's clothes. He needs to be off the street. That's a fact!!!
