I stereotype because of what my girl and I experienced there...not 1 local was nice, and I smiled and said hi to about 90% of the people I met....don't really matter, I'll never bring my money there again and I'm not missing a thing where I live.

yeah, LAZ, sorry, but the Aloha Spirit not as good as the good ol' days. I still wouldn't want to live any where else though. Been to Cal, and hated it there. Won't stop me from being a tourist there, but a lot of the people there just plain suck. Not all, since there were some very friendly people there too. Like you mentioned, 90 percent maybe were not too nice, but the 10 percent is much better than I have fared when I visited other states in the nation.

Well I came to Hawaii and I loved it and it's people. It's something that stays in my heart everyday. It has been 2 years and I can't wait to come back. I think you get what you give. I was sooo happy and in awe to be there and I was not disappointed at all. The Aloha Spirit was alive for me. I did meet a few rude people but hey, I live in the real world, they are everywhere.

Gland you are loving it in Makaha! Just be very careful when you park your cars. Don't leave anything visible through the windows, lock your doors, and always try to be close to the car where you can still see it.
Sometimes it just takes one bad incident to ruin your whole vacation, so always be mindful and not oblivious to things around you. Enjoy the rest of your stay!!!

Scary! LMAO! These are real locals, alright! NOT!
These characters are stereotyped Hollywood-hyped versions of what they think we are. They party, surf, drink (non-stop) endless alcoholic beverages, compare surf boards, sleep around (recycle their chicks) and collect welfare checks? Wait! I can already hear a faint greeting in the nearby distance (kinda looks like Dog): "Aloha, Brah!" Quick...run.....

Laz,

Welcome to the Real world...Who are you that people should smile and say hi to! Hawaii is the best place to live. I lived on the mainland for a couple of years and the people up there are different than the people down here. People in hawaii are much more friendly they have what you call the ALOHA spirit . My guess is that the people you smiled at were'nt really local.. maybe there were wanna be Local ..lol .. well good luck

Hawaii can be good sometimes, but all this about loving the aloha spirit seems really phony to me.
And f*** all you "Local" assholes. That's right, I said it. F*** you. F*** your trucks and f*** your surfboards and f*** everything else you think you have. You're just a bunch a racist, immature shitheads.
Last but not least, f*** all you racist Japanese- Americans living in Hawaii. Have you ever stopped to ask yourselves, "Why are Japanese people so racist?" Real Japanese people are among some of the most racist, xenophobic bastards on Earth, and true to form, you're carrying on the tradition. You're actually the main reason Hawaii sucks. The Hawaiian people were probably very decent people before you took over.

The Japanese American population in Hawaii has been shrinking over the decades. There are few pure Japanese left. Not a whole lot of Koreans or Korean Americans, but A LOT of Filipinos! In fact Hawaii could be considered the little Philippines.

Hawaii is sooo overrated. While I was visiting this "paradise", all I read in the newspaper is how the haole had done this and that to them. I'm here to tell you that you need to wake up. Wonder why tourism is down in Hawaii? There are so many better vacation destinations in the world, at a better price, and without the problems. Do you think anyone in Thailand or the Philippines would ask you to put out your cigarette?

And I love the "native" Japanese who live there. They think they're one with the native Hawaiians and they also love to blame the haoles for their own problems.

Good luck you piece of crap excuse for a tourist destination.
