How is that unconstitutional Nazi law they're trying to pass...forcing taxi cabs to charge a flat rate from Waikiki to the airport?

Since when can the government tell businesses what they can and cannot charge for their services??

Man, these people just pull unconstitutional laws out of their butt hoping nobody has the money to challenge it in court.

There should be a law against creating unconstitutional laws. The person who introduces an unconstitutional law should be jailed. When you become a politician you take an oath to uphold the Constitution.More than half of the dummies in the square building dont even know what's in the Constitution.

And what's going to happen to these taxi companies if they dont charge the flat rate?

What are they going to do shut down their company? impose a massive fee? throw them in prison??

Seriously now this state is fast becoming a full blown Nazi state besides being the laughing stock of the nation.

WHAT?? Their vehicles are dangerous and I am inclined to think that this company does not have the proper insurance. I asked the driver to turn on the AC and she said that it does not work. This local wahine driver said she got hurt on the job and cannot help me with the luggage so I had to struggle with it myself. What kind of legal Hawaii company does not give their employees medical insurance? When I called their main office to complain a lady with a rather smug terrible customer service atitude told me if I don't like it call someone else. I now call Super shuttle who has up to date vehicles and drivers that will help you with luggage.

Dude are you serious? You must be a cab driver? Are you a legal alien and here with proper documentation? All cab drivers at the airport will give you a tour that you do not want just to build up the fare.$40 dollars one way to go less than 10 miles from the Airport to Waikiki is outrageous enough. Why would you want to do that when you can get on a shuttle for $10 a person? Your name sounds like a middle eastern scoundral that thinks the USA is made up of all rich Americans. Go to hell and go back to Syria or where ever you come from you MEastern CROOK. Your name Infidel bothers me and makes me think you are some kind of muslim terrorist here in the USA illegally.

They use brand new 11 passenger mercedes sprinters to move visitors to and fro. Roberts had a bus that took up to 2 1/2 hours to get to some hotels. Even a dummy like you could figure out which vehicle is faster a van or bus.

Unless they have rotors and can fly, they'll move no faster than a bus which can carry a lot more passengers.

Hey which is faster a 50 passenger bus making up to 25 Hotel stops or a 11 passenger Mercedes Sprinter making up to 5 stops. Waikiki has almost 250 hotels and condos that tourist might book as accomodations. Roberts Hawaii always started the dropoffs at the Ewa end of Waikiki so if you stay at Daimond head side(Marriot) it can be a long time before you get to your hotel room. Most visitors(Japanese,Australian, or Mainland tourist) take many hours to get here so adding another 2 1/2??? hours is not what they want. For a few more bucks and cheaper than a cab ride Speedi's is the way to go.

I don't know the shuttle business, I drove truck, so perhaps you're right. Dick-weed was implying that somehow the speedishuttles are capable of getting to a destination faster than anyone else in traffic, and that's Bullshyt.
They will sit at the same red lights as everyone else, including buses.
Almost anything can be improved for "a few more bucks." How about for a few LESS bucks? That would impress the hell out of me and be a real 9192first for Honolulu.
