In case anyone cares, the Morgantown Blockbuster is closing. Apparently, the nitwit landlord has crossed Blockbuster by not fixing a pipe or something to that effect. No one seems to have the story straight. This is the only Blockbuster for miles and I'm disgusted for one. Only in Morgantown do you start to make progress and head backward over something ridiculous. Thank God for online video rental...what's the alternative? El Video? Complaints can be directed to Blockbuster's Customer Care Line at (800)406-6843.

Just to let people know - the Village Library of Morgantown offers over 1000 VHS and DVDs for free. We do not have the selection of a Blockbuster (nor the budget) however you can borrow any DVD or movie for 1 week for free.

Stop by and check out the selection or browse our online catalog at www.villagelibrary.org - click on IPAC to look up items by title or subject.

Other rumors sasy that Blockbuster is LOSING money here. With online rentals, pay per view, on demand, etc., video stores are a thing of the past.
I just wish someone would build a Mexican, or Thai, or KFC restaurant around here. NO MORE PIZZA!!

I suspect you're right. If Blockbuster was making money at this location, they would put the screws to that property owner and keep the store open or find another nearby location. Let's face it...this area simply doesn't have the population to keep commercial owners happy. Maybe someday.
