Expected better food from them. The menu didn't impress. For a "Irish Pub" they had way too many pasta dishes. The Oscar dish was frenched. Since when do you French a Oscar dish? The béarnaise sauce was also watery and actually tasted like French(very lemony). The fries were served in a boat dish. Why? The portion was also way too small. The French dip was a little short on beef and would have been better with melted cheese and the roll grilled. The servers also should check on drinks more often.

Yikes, my experience could not be more different. Iíve visited Flahertyís three times now. Iíve ordered the Shepardís Pie, a Corn beef and cabbage special, and a Chicken Caesar salad. In each case the dish was excellent, and beyond the norm. The servers were all pleasant and prompt, without being overbearing. Finally the beer selection is wonderful, with a good variety of local Micro-brews to compliment the big boy brands. Itís hard to believe we are discussing the same establishment. Overall, the food, ambiance, and service have definitely met my expectations each time.

i agree with you. we weren't impressed at all. the waitress screwed up our drinks and the food was dry and bland. the buffolo bites were over fried and dry grease balls. the chicken parm had barely any sauce and i needed a lot of water to wash it down. they forgot the baked beans with the pulled pork. The pulled pork was smaller than my kid's portions. my son's grilled cheese was rock hard and the bread was too dark. we went saturday for lunch. it wasn't busy and they couldn't get it right. it was over priced, too. we didn't even get any bread with the entrees. we won't be back. on the plus side, the building is clean and new. that's about it.

Same here. I ordered the veal Oscar. Oohh boy dripping in water! I thought the veal must have been frozen in a ton of ice then thawed but not drained. Could have been veal soup.
Will try again though. Not too many places to go in HF.

F rating. Went to Flags five times now and still have been unable to get a good meal. Service is fairly good. Prices are a bit high and drinks are over priced. Good thing there is another bar and grill in the town which has "The Best" food around. I was so surprised when I ate at the Brewery, the food is delicious, drinks are reasonably priced, and a nice atmosphere. There is also another bar in town called Cosmos. Good priced drinks and decent lunch mostly for the working crowd, burgers, ect.

Flags: F
Brewery: A+
Cosmos:(cheap drinks) B
