I think HF-L's adminstration is making a BIG mistake in not retaining Kevin Neenan as the varsity baseball coach. He has made tremendous contributions to the baseball program over the years. I can't believe he would do anything really awful to justify his termination so I can only believe it is due to playing time complaints from some CRYBABY PLAYERS and their CRYBABY Parents or from some players and parents who think the team should be winning more. He is an excellent coach, went to school and played ball at HF-L and is now getting crummy treatment. If this is the way he is going to be treated, the other coaches in the district better watch their backs. The administration will toss them overboard without a second thought if they tick off a few players or parents.

He is not a terrible coach. I played for him and many others did too and we had a great experience. He is a good baseball man and a fine role model for kids. A parent of a current player on the team will tell you that and so will many current coaches on the HF-L coaching staff and former ones as well along with the Rayson-Miller American Legion coach, who has coached the legion team for over 25 years. The current HF-L AD is a jerk.

Victor High School picked him up as the JV infield coach. He coached my son (staring SS), and was great. I am personal friends of an HFL family whose son was their star piutcher/hitter this year (w B-ball scholarship to LeMoyne in Syracuse) and they report that it was political crybaby parents whining about playing time.

If you want playing time, try rec baseball (or HFL). If you want to win, coach to win. Victor has demonstrated its commitment to athletic excellence (NYS AA champs 2011, NYS AA #2 in 2012). Victor wins again getting Neenan.
