Be happy to help out where I can. If there are particulars you'd like to know about I'll try to help. In Honeoye Falls right across from the facility are apartments and there are townhouses in town as well not far from the facility. I can get you names of the places and numbers. There are also homes that are advertised for rent as well. Probably best to work on that once you have a set time frame. You'd be looking at six hundred to one thousand dollars plus utilities for most places in Honeoye Falls. Lima has a few apartments as well not quite as pricey. What does your husband do at Southco? My wife works there.

My husband is a headerman. Headers are machines that they only have currently in the Concordville/Brandywine Plant. Which will be shutting its doors on 12/31/08. My husband's machines are being moved to the Honeoye Falls plant, right now they are saying July 08. So I'm trying to get a jump on things, especially since they keep changing dates on us. I've checked into the apartments (Olde Falls I believe) that are on East St. I would prefer to find a townhouse, or a small rental house, 3 bdrms. From what I am seeing so far, the prices there are alot more reasonable then they are here. You can't get a 3 bdrm townhouse here, plus utilities for less than $1600 a month. Atleast Southco has given us plenty of time to plan, and I am going to use every second of it. If you want to email me directly my email is [email protected]
Good Luck

I hope everything works out for you and you find a nice place. The Honeoye Falls/Lima are is nice. There is a lot to see and do within a short drive. Be sure to take a walk through Mendon Ponds Park and go visit Letchworth Park too.

Letchworth is down in Mt Morris which is about a half hour away from Lima. Very nice State park, some call the gorge there the grand canyon of the east. Nice place to go for walks along the gorge and river and see falls. There is a pool, picnicing, camping.

Sounds wonderful. We're making a trip to Ohio over the week of 4th of July to visit family, and we're thinking of swinging up through the Honeoye Falls area on are way there. Will have to make a list of places to checkout.

The Honeoye Falls-Lima School district is a good one. Personally, I think it takes both the parents and school to product a decent and educated child.

As for the Mt. Morris comments. I would not live there. The rent may be lower(that speaks for itself). I work with some people who live there and from what they say about the town, the people in it and the school district... Naaah, not going there(no pun intended).

I think what Good luck is trying to tell you is that Mt. Morris is home to alot of people on public assistance because of the inmate facility nearby. Mt. Morris has the unfortunate problem of the families moving here to be near there loved ones that are the guest's of the state (for 2-4yrs)

Now that is a good thing to know. Thank you very much. You just can't find out this kind of information from a website that is promoting a town, or from just visiting for 24 hours. I've actually been looking the last day or so at places to buy in the Lakeville/Conesus Lake area.

That's news to me. Seems to me they keep building more of them because a good number people don't know how to be PRODUCTIVE, HONEST AND WORKING members of our society. That goes for their family members who suck off the welfare system too.
There must be panic in the streets of Mt. Morris. Where will all the "government entitlement" folks go next? I'm sure they will follow their family members to their "next stop".
Thinking about it though, I bet some residents of the town wouldn't be bothered by the exodus of those with family incarcerated by, I mean guests of the state.
