Another sad situation, I guess that spouse's get depressed when one get sick or terminal, and they don't want to be alone. Family out of state, and I guess the man just couldn't cope with the situation, I wonder why his family couldn't have helped him? I guess its too late now for them to do anything.

Did you ever consider that this couple may have had a "pact" that if one winds up in terminal situation the other takes them both out.

No suffering for the survivor after a long terminal illness which would be more painful then any gunshot.

Don't judge.

Actually there is no legal means of assisted suicide in this state. So it was murder 1/suicide.

If you dont know the people and their wishes you have no comment.

Is that how the Florida Law states it?

Must say,'a rose is a rose' I seem to remember that Napolianic influences are different than the English.....

Heck, don't think I've even lifted a law book, let alone read one in over 20 years.

For your information:

Currently, 34 STATES have statutes explicitly criminalizing assisted suicide :

Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Wisconsin

NINE states criminalize assisted suicide through common law:
Alabama, Idaho, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, South Carolina, Vermont, West Virginia

THREE states have abolished the common law of crimes and do not have statutes criminalizing assisted suicide :
North Carolina, Utah, Wyoming

In Ohio, that state's supreme court ruled in October 1996 that assisted suicide is not a crime.

In Virginia, there is no real clear case law on assisted suicide , nor is there is a statute criminalizing the act, although there is a statute which imposes civil sanctions on persons assisting in a suicide.

Only the states of Oregon and Washington permit physician-assisted suicide.

law can be fun; and confusion.

go 2 up and again some say 'like it my way'

meanwhile gives more 'outs' than 'ins'

Luckily under the US Constitution law construction is accepted from one state to another; some qwivers and shakes drag things out but in the end we find an end,

I was responding to #6.

What do you have against a white supremist group who is simply trying to protect white guys in prison? Would you say the same thing about the Crips or the Bloods or the Nuestra family?

I doubt it. They'd come and burn your house down.

Certain groups have certain reasons for their hatred.
