Five Arrested On Suspicion Of School Vandalism

Five juveniles have been arrested, suspected of vandalizing a middle school in suburban Country Club Hills .

What a shame that no one has taught them anything before they got school-age. We all know you are not allowed to correct children for fear of hurting their self-esteem....
Parents must really be feeling nice now...if they have any.

Ruin a school for $70,000 or take a trip to the ABBEY for $27,000 of the tax payers money,both are detrimental to the city. One done by kids who haven't learned right from wrong,& the other done by adults who think they are above the law. Actually,the adults probably don't know right from wrong,or they don't have any conscience.

This is what you call typical "IRRESPONSIBLE" Parents. Not only should those children be expelled from school they should be charged along with the parents. Or have the parents pay for the damages, NOT THE TAXPAYERS!!! The people in Country Club Hills are sick of paying Tax dollars for the crime these kids do out there, when there are parents who dont dicipline or take action to the kids who ruin that city!!!!!The Mayor has cleaned up that neighborhood and has made it more family entertaining for all who live there. Why dont some of these parents try and take there children out to learn something,or do something so they arent "BORED" (as they said was the reason of this vandalisim) instead of letting them run wild!!!

(playing devil's advocate) the parents are not allowed to discipline their kids anymore, cause someone will report them for abuse if they do. now they are being called irresponsible for the same kids acting out? not cool. Crazy

There are other ways to dicipline a child. Not placing your hands on the child. The parents are irresponsible. Have you seen the news? It clearly justifies that SOME of the children are not controlled by there parents. These parents should be out there making sure there kids arent out in the street at 10:00 at night causing Havock, as they were when the police got the call for the fire extinguisher. And please tell me what child goes and vandalizes a school because they are "BORED"..
