Danger Cat wrote: <quoted text> You noticed that too? The clubs in downtown Chicago -- that have huge rooms -- only allow for a maximum capacity a little over 300 so that they won't violate fire hazard codes. A bar/tavern in the South Suburbs can't fit that many if the patrons were crammed in like sardines. Just way too sensational. Downtown clubs holds nothing but teenie boopers, that cause trouble no matter what the capacity holds that is why I stopped going around my peers. Jimmy's has a nice crowd on Tuesdays but I really doubt it was hundreds of people running out. Jimmy's can hold a nice amount of people, I had a party there before. It has 2 sides to it.

I meant to reply to a blogger that mentioned Chuck's Gun Shop. When I was little (>6) my family lived on 142nd Place, almost acroos the street. My father and brother were regulars at the firing range. Fast forward to the decade of the 90's. I read a Tribune article thathad the following s statistic. Of all of the illegal guns confiscated during the 90's, the MOST were traced back to Chuck's. I would think this might be enough to significantly reduce the amount of sales allowed. My how times/people/places change.

larry g wrote: <quoted text> Elderly Babe , I'm glad you want to spend that kind of money , my house is rehabbed and everything in it is brand new , granite counters , hard wood floor s , really nice . My brother paid 250,000 for a 10 acre estate and he could probably put your house in his basement , but so what . What color is the colored woman? Your home sound lovely. The wonderful thing about real estate in my neighborhood is that property values go up. My husband bought the 5500 sqare foot home on 1/3 acre we live in 40 years ago for 240K and it's appraised value today is 4.6 Million but this is certainly a down time to think of selling. We have also enjoyed similar value gains with our Naples, FL and Aspen, CO properties. It's hard to answer your last question but it would be some hue of brownish tone because as we all know, black is not a color.

This is the first time I've heard of Jimmy's, but you are right about the teenie boppers at the clubs downtown. Actually, they're adults, but who act like teenie boppers -- holding on to those last vestiges of youth -- then then throwing up at the corner when the clubs close. Glad I did my club hopping during the 80's when we could dance all night and the most we had to fear was getting caught sleeping on the job the next day because we'd been partying all night.

I go down there if someone I know is having a party just to show my face then I am out, and that is very seldom. I like 40 plus clubs. I went to the Cactus and the darn DJ's got to fighting in the DJ booth because one DJ was playing hard core music getting the crowd all riled up and the other one thought due to the crowd that he should switch up the music. I hate riff raff folks, and my age group and down is a hot mess.

Where I live the whites are the lowlifes , all black people are not poor Buddy . I bought a 257,000 house in a neighborhood with poor white people should I move ? I don't say all white people you should not say all black people
Amen, Larry I live in Beverly/Evergreen Park neighborhood, right outside of Chicago. There is a bar on a quiet residential street that is constantly busy! Our community is a mixed, beautiful neighborhood quiet most of the time until night falls. This bar is owned (so we are told) by a chicago police officer, so this is their hangout. Never african americans in this place! they carry on all hours of the night disturbing neighbors in the surrounding area. not sure when or if it's ever closed. You wake up in the am to find beer/ liquor bottles on your lawn , You are awaken out of your sleep to people yelling in the streets, car doors slamming, the noise is terrible. There are nights when they have a live band! The village or police department does nothing when complaints are made. These are not African Americans out here behaving like this. We pay a lot in taxes to live in this community and thought we were moving to a peaceful neighborhood. I don't understand how this place is allowed to be open so late and why the powers that be are not responding to the neighbors complaints. We have children to raise and it's not good for them to see this type of activity by people who are suppose to serve and protect us. My children are not allowed to ride their bike past this place.

The Convenant with Black America is the result . Obviously you have not read it , it addresses the very things that you claim we ignore in the black community . I agree with Bill Cosby 100%, but you thing ALL BLACK people are criminals , that's the proble, white kids act the same way , I had a white kid the other day tell me I was disrespecting him. All I ask is to be fair , I don't think you can. Thats funny larry if you would read my post,i said that the majority of the citizens in the black community are law abiding. Larry if you would look at the shear numbers, the gun violence is affecting the black community way more than the white community. This is not a racist statement, this is a fact. You mention how i can not be fair but you still fail to mention any point i brought up that was not accurate.Larry if you would look at the numbers, the youth in the black community are killing each other in record numbers on the south and the west side of chicago, why is that?Lets be honest larry alot of youth in the black community are raised in homes by the mother because the father is no where to be found. How is this young man supposed to learn how to be a young man by the mother? A woman can not teach a young man how to be a man thats a fact but unfortunately there are alot of young men in the black community, who do not have a responsible male figure in the house so they learn how to be a man by the guys on the street.

All that is true , but the same thing is happening in the white community . I see no difference , between our kids . They all have this rap thug mentality , black and white . Where I live you can say the exact same thing and substitute white for black . 80% of the problem people in my neighborhood are white . That's my point about being fair . Young people , black and white , have a lot of issues . In Baltimore , it seems nobody gets married , black or white , they just have babies .

I went to high school in the Chicago suburbs in the 70's and out of 5000 students, 3 of them were negroes. They were quite the novelty and each were popular. We had one negro who lived in my town but he was married to a white woman. The end.
