What are the WM Police Department doing in an effort to stop the rash of break ins of homes in the Emerson/Duquesne Village area?

In the last month, there have been over 15 break ins or attempted break ins (most in broad daylight)?

How could anyone judge this post as racy, mean, or disagree?

What a total idiot?

Its probably one of the WM officials that worries about this web site more than the real matters in hand.

It was on the news about the break ins in West Mifflin last week.

There was also a break in yesterday in Duquesne (the nice part) in the afternoon.

The actor(s) knock at the door, no answer, and they kick the door in looking for electronics, computers, drugs, etc.

When you have large amounts of scum living in your town, this stuff happens. If you want justice, catch these scum, call police one hour later. That gives a little bit of time to rehab the lost soul.

The news reported a story about a minister that was robbed as she entered her house. Anyone know where this happened?

The church in West Mifflin (Homeville) off of Oak Street.

There were break ins as well on Clubvue and Bluff Street.

Suspects are 2 black males in a red or orange pick up truck.

Glad the boro is making a dilligent effort to alert all residents of this nonsense.

There were more break ins in WM on Cypress Street and Van Kirk?

What is Mr. Mayor doing to step up police presence? All is safe at Westwood and Thompson Club.

What about the rest of the boro?

I can't blame the actual policeman. Their hands are tied as far as being on patrol.

Maybe WM should have spent money on the police instead of fireworks at community day.

What a joke.

There is always a heavy police presence on Pennsylvania Ave. at school dissmisal times. Don't want any of those soccer moms exceeding the 15MPH speed limit. I have witnessed the police busy clocking speeders up on Pennsylvania while drugs are openly sold on Highland Ave. The police always go after the low hanging fruit in this boro. It's much more lucrative and less hassle dealing with soccer moms speeding than crazed drig addicts breaking into homes or selling drugs.

Ok I heard about Cypress and Oak st robberies and now Elm St Robberies.

Probably the same scumbag that robbed me twice at my home on Cherry St.

I heard its a younger guy and an older guy. Like an old crackhead with a crackhead truck and his younger addict friend or maybe kid.

I see shady people walking up and down Oak looking into houses too.

There were 3 breakins on Lebanon Church Road between Bettis and Buttermilk and 2 more (one while the home owner was home) on Wilson street recently.
Just how many of these breakins are there?

This can happen anywhere. Get an alarm system and a weapon. I use Guardian and a dude named Sig Sauer. Learn how to use it and practice until you are comfortable. The police cannot protect you. This can happen anywhere. Criminals are mobile today!

The Daily News reported 20. There were 20 alone in November. I would think if they are reporting 20, the break ins or attempted break ins are around 40.

They tried getting into a house on Van Kirk twice in the same day two hours apart.

I agree the police are not here to protect you.The best they can do is enforce the law after something happends.I live 2 blocks away from zero dark thirty and i too have the means to protect my family.
