LAKE GROVE - Two of the island's biggest school districts are facing financial challenges that could jeopardize their future, according to a report just released by the Office of the State Comptroller.
The report says that 13 percent of Long Island school districts are facing fiscal stress. Those school districts have dangerously low fund reserves, chronic operatic deficits and extremely limited cash in hand.
Bay Shore and Sachem, are among those facing "significant financial distress."
The second most serious category lists districts in "moderate financial stress."
These school districts include Lawrence, Copiague, West Islip, East Quogue, East Islip, East Moriches and Valley Stream.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo is expected to announce details on aid and school tax relief in his budget proposal later this month.

Seriously maybe if all the administrators weren't making ridiculous money. Driving fancy cars have huge homes and can afford live in nannies. The districts could allocate money more towards the overworked teachers and students!
