Police, Local Officials Taking Aim at Late Night Trouble Makers
Legis. Rob Calarco recently met with the commanding officer of the 5th Precinct and Patchogue Village officials to discuss how to combat problems "that have arisen with the increase of bars, restaurants, and music venues throughout the downtown," according to a press release from Calarco's office.

Yeah ok... First of all I grew up in patchogue and I miss living there. The town will NEVER change unless everyone admits what the real problem is. The small percentage of "troublemakers" that live mostly on river ave or scattered throughout patch in the many section 8 homes and overcrowded rentals. You can bring in whatever restaurants or stores or attractions you would like and if nothing is done about these local "troublemakers" then it's just lipstick on a pig. That's why copper beach failed to keep young people in patch and so will the west ave project. Bring back local living constables with arrest authority and guns. If they live local they will care. I know A LOT of police and patch is a joke to them. No ambition to clean up patch within the 5th pct.
