Must have been the stench that lulled them into homesickness and hearing audio hallucinations of, "La Migra esta aqui!"
Or could be the progressive democrats are turning to a new type of focus group.

Maybe the Suffolk County Health Department needs to be involved -- if these are the third and fourth deaths to be recorded in cesspools in this county, the county needs to look at its regulations. Where is the EPA when it's needed?

I have never seen anyone with an open cesspool. We had a leach bed when I was a kid which was a pit dug in the ground with a huge cement box set in and buried. The waste would pour into the box, filter thru the gravel bottom and decompose under ground. Sure,we had a wet spot in the ground with some VERY green grass, but we never had an open pool or pit. I could understand it if people were still using outhouses, but no one is.

Oh no I did not mean open cesspools! Maybe I misheard what happened. I would have to do some digging to find mine.. Although I wish we had sewers

Apparently, this was an OPEN cesspool for them to drown in.As a kid, Ours was never open, just a VERY green, squishy section of the yard that smelled awful. I used to tell the neighborhood kids I DIDN'T like that there were coins buried in that section and they'd go in and dig around in there then go home smelling awful and covered with black slimy dirt.
Finally, about 1979 they put in the sewer and we ended up filling in the leachbed.
