Come on!. There isn't anybody but Richard Kessell available? All the cronieism continues on and on. Doesn't anybody in Albany think Long Island has suffered enough with Kessell already?

The mere fact that Governor Paterson has this Cretan on a short list, or any list for that matter, goes to show any casual observer, that our elected officials really are clueless. They are so devoted and beholden to the special interests that line their pockets, all of them regardless of party affiliation, that they cannot not come up with practical solutions to this problem, or the many problems their greed have saddled us with, for that matter. We just keep voting in the same party hacks, time after time. If there ever was a reason for term limits across the board, I don’t know what is. This will not change until we as voters make it change, but they just laugh; in two days this will be all forgotten and Kessel will be in a position where he can set this island, and State back another generation.

Isn't this the same person who messed up LIPA rate payers with all the sweatheart deals like the wind farm proposal & all those generators?
Uh, yeah, the same man who had the vision for the same wind farm that was to been "CHEAPER" than oil once it hit $140 per barrel -- Like it did today, oh and those generators? they just happen to keep the lights on several years ago.

Don't kid yourself.

Including the FPL overruns and payoffs to Pataki contributor/cronies $300 oil would still be cheaper.

Tough choice:

- Richie Rotund as State Power Auth
- Richie Rotund as County Executive

I vote "None of the above".
