How was this a "high speed chase"? It never mentioned that the subjects were trying to evade the police. Stupid.

Does anybody remember the horrible accident a few years ago with a ferrari and a hooked up corvette over in long beach? I believe the corvette smashed into a school bus killing the driver? That was a high speed Race. This was like go-cart racing compared to them. It is a shame that the driver was killed, but luckily that bus was not filled with our kids.

Look i was there, i went to 7-11 to pick up a dutch and they were outside flirting with each other. Admiring each other's muscles and what not. I overheard them talking about "DUDE, THEYRE GONNA CLOSE !" and they left in a hurry. They WERE NOT racing... it was late, CVS was about to close and they needed to stock up on hairgel for that spiky hairdo the I-talian homos like to sport. Give them their whips back so they don't turn Emo on us PLEASE ! Last thing we need is more Emofags running around with their tight jeans and makeup.
I like your demographic description, but you know, one doesn't have to be a fag when one is an Emo. There are plenty of Emo men walking around and if the intellectual women of this world would stop trying to be submissive, when they are not, then the emos could get get good sex without going gay.......

Does anyone remember the two cars racing in March 1987 in Lido Beach - a black Buick Grand National driven by Vincent Laizza and a silver Chevrolet Monte Carlo never aprehended? Laizza's Buick was traveling well over 100 MPH as well as the Monte Carlo - Laizza's Car slammed into a limo carrying the Bride, Groom (The Goryckis) as well as other members of the Wedding Party as they were turning into The Sands Parking Lot for their Wedding Reception. The limo was shredded in half and both the Bride & Groom were killed. If anyone thinks drag racing is cool just refer back to the news stories about that horrible tragedy back in 1987. People need to grow up and stop driving like they are on the track at Indianapolis or Daytona. How would you feel if YOUR son or daughter were hit by one of these individuals racing? This is just stupid selfishness on the part of the drivers of these cars. Period.
No. no, I don't remember this at all.

This is inexcusable for their actions. But we do not make it easy for them to go to a place and run legally like a dragstrip. We need a place to take this energy and put it in a safe and controlled enviroment

Of course, you meant to write "try NOT acting like "your"{(sic) it's "you're" or "you are"} above every body." Did it ever occur to you that I am above you, Kevin? You see, if we were at the same level, you wouldn't have responded emotionally. You would have responded rationally. And, "family tradition"! Please.

Give them a break , you must be a TOTAL JACKASS. it's OK for these idiots to do 80 mph on a usually busy road and then kill someone? They should be punished, but lets just say, next time they are racing in any excessive speed, lets hope that you are the one under their cars not some poor innocent person.

<quoted text>Police can and do seize contraband, and the fruits, instrumentalities, and evidence of crimes every day based on probable cause. Forfeiture proceedings are then brought against the property later in court. This is done so that the contraband, evidence etc. doesn't disappear before a court hearing can take place. It is done all the time, and is legal, provided that the police act within the law, and there is probable cause to seize said property.
First, Amendment V of the COTUS says otherwise. Property cannot be removed except through due process of law. Beyond that the argument that the cars are needed for evidence is laughable. Cars are not needed for evidence when one runs a light or gets another moving violation but contests it in court.

How about some plain old self control instead of having "a place." You make it sound like they are animals who need the proper environment in order for them to thrive according to their animal natures. They're just selfish, thoughtless, uneducated neanderthals.

Is your surname "Head?" You're rationalizing the highly dangerous actions of two mouth-breathing, knuckle-dragging greaseballs by making an appeal to the plight of "automotive enthusiasts" who - the poor things - too often have no other outlet for their "great passion" for speed than the public streets of America. Get your head away from the tailpipe, Dick. Your brains have turned to mush. And, I hope you and yours are never injured or worse by one of these creatures.

Highly dangerous... so that's your take on this? I suppose you know that the BS 55 mph speed limit is only still in force here on LI. I imagine you are aware that elsewhere in the country 65 and 70 mph speed limits are the norm. That makes the reported 80 mph ‘race’ pretty much of a non-event. The roads are designed for faster than 55, cars can be safely operated faster than 55, and many people who choose to exceed 55 are way out of your reach intellectually, so your "knuckle draggers" comment unfairly paints a whole group of people, people you couldn't hold a candle to, in an unfavorable light.
You can take your superior attitude and park it sister, because no one needs to listen to your judgmental nonsense. So head back to the refrigerator, grab the Bon Bons out of the freezer, and get back to Jerry Springer you slob.

This was not on the roads that are safely designed for over 55, it was on the service road where the speed limit is 40 mph.
