Police end high-speed car race in Holtsville

Two men were arrested Tuesday night after a police officer in an unmarked car saw them engage in a high-speed car race on the Long Island Expressway service road in Holtsville, the Suffolk police said.

Pardon me, 80 mph a high speed chase? I've been passed by little old ladies at that speed, anything less and you are an obstruction to the traffic flow. Mabye the officers figured their cars were dysfunctional, not able to exceed 80 mph. C'mon, give the kids a break, they won't forget you for it.

Tell me about it. People go by me at 80+ routinely on my way into work. Weaving in and out of traffic like the Indy 500. I guess they all must have badges or mini badges if you get my point.

Give them a break , you must be a TOTAL JACKASS. it's OK for these idiots to do 80 mph on a usually busy road and then kill someone? They should be punished, but lets just say, next time they are racing in any excessive speed, lets hope that you are the one under their cars not some poor innocent person.
