Give these morons 100 years in jail. They have some balls breaking into homes in the middle of the night when people are sleeping.Especially when there are kids in the house.

Please wait...
It doesn't matter where two fine upstanding members of society hail from. They should become guests of the NYS prison system for the rest of their natural lives.

I'm more interested in why THESE folks were targeted!! I'm guessing dirty money... let's see. Drug dealers, slumlords for illegal aliens, cash business where they don't pay taxes (you and I pay their share), the list goes on!
Let's face it folks, as much as the punks who broke in are wrong and should be punished... it's often the "victims" that are the root of the problem in these situations. They travel in a circle and engage in illegal activity that brings this kind of problem on. If it were you or I or the other WORKING people out there... this would never happen... after all, what's the take if they broke into my house or yours,$100 from my wallet... not nearly enough to split 2 or 3 ways!
I'll reserve judgement until the rest of the story comes out!

Someone showing too much "bling" or else it's drug related. Geez....I hope my english was correct - I wouldn't want the blog police after me.

"The victims did not appear to have been chosen at random, police said".
That's usually the case with home invasions, like the one last week, where the drug dealer resident shot one of the two home invaders who were looking for drugs and money. Still, it's scary stuff.

Geez....I hope my english was correct - I wouldn't want the blog police after me. You are both probably correct about the drug thing. The article said that the police "do not feel the victims were randomly chosen". Therefore, if it WASN'T random, there must be more to the story. WTG Newsday!!! And another thing, why is it that when ANYTHING on the island goes wrong, it is automatically presumed that the bad guys are from Mastic?? Let's not mention the fact that this occurred in HOLTSVILLE!!!
