Poor Eric? Are you kidding me? He was a rich kid that thought he could get away with it. He should have thought of the consequences beforehand. None of this would have ever happened if he didn't set this whole thing up. I hope both of them get what they deserve..

Yes this is a bad situation. but i believe poor eric didnt think it would come down to 3 people dieing. Hes just a sheltered kid from miller place and didnt know what kind of scum bags he was dealing with. Shit happens and people live and learn. its sad that 3 people are dead. but something inside tells me that eric did not mean for anyone to get hurt. im sure all he saw was the fact that he wouldnt have to pay for weed for a while! Yes he is a fault for being the driver but it seems as if he wanted to be accepted by the wrong crowd. he didnt know what these guys were capable of. He really is a good kid. just on the wrong path. I pray for all those people who suffer a loss because of this situation.

"Poor Eric" is not a "good kid." Good kids do not do drugs, get guns, and set up robberies of their dealers.

While the death of the victim of the robbery is unfortunate, there is a saying that goes "if you go swimming, you're gonna get wet".

For the most part, I beleive that people choose their own destiny. If you surround yourself with negative situations, it will at some point catch up to you.

The situation was unfortunate but it will hopefully remain in peoples minds as a reminder to try to stay on the right path.

I see this Calace guy has the same attorney as the Alvino's (Raymond Perini). Mr. Perini is getting paid out his ass from all these RICH FOLKS with no morals and poor upbringing. Lock'em all up, even the lawyer for taking the case.

So much for a nation of laws. Guess all we need is an ayotollah to decide guilt and punishment for us. No need for judges and juries.

Yeah, just keep throwing all those marijuana dealers in jail, see if that solves the problem of robbery in the suburbs.

A crook will use the lure of easy pickings to rob a home. They don't want to earn money from a job to buy things. That might take time away from their usual occupation; planning more robberies.

defendants will be charged with 2nd degree murder by fact they were complicit in a felony resulting in the death of someone(actually they will get 3 counts given circumstances plus conspiracy & 1st degree robbery charges.... You will not see the death penalty here - they did not kill a cop, they did not torture anyone and all 3 victims are criminals of some sort(dane was the one guy's dealer and to be candid while what went down was utterly wrong, you can't angelize him given he had loads of drugs in his family's house where there was at least two youngs kids aroung(his son and his 12 y/o brother - had he been arrested, it could have cost his family their house for him having that crap there). At a guess given that you are talking suffolk county, the surviving felon that was in the house is looking at 25 to life or if plead, maybe 20 to life(normally all these charges run concurrently as it was a single incident). The driver, since he cooperated and did not carry a gun even if he planned it, is likely to get 15-20 to life unless goes to trial in which case i'd bet 25 to life.
its funny, but it seems like a lot of people are hitting thier dealers lately. There are times i'd think we'd be better off if marijuana at least was legalized.
We could use the RICO statutes to seize the whole country and see if it stops people from doing what people do. Yeah, then we'll look for contraband in Amsterdam, Why stop with the homes of Americans?

Respectfully,

How can you say that this guy didn't kill anyone? His actions directly contributed to the deaths of three people. Lock him up and throw away the key.
