I saw on channel 7 last night the mother of some teen who was killed while speeding down the same road a few months ago, and she told the reporter, "When will the town and the county do something about this terribly dangerous road? How many more kids have to die?"

I think the better question is when will your moronic kids stop speeding, drinking and driving, and driving high on drugs? I find it hard to believe that some of these parents could really be this clueless. And then when a tradgedy like this happens, although it could have been worse had they killed an innocent person (because like it or not, no one in that car was innocent), the parents look to blame anyone else but the people whom which 100% of the blame should rest; themselves and their child.

A young life was senselessly lost and all you have to say is trash talk. What about Amy's family. They have experienced a loss that no one should ever have to go thru. Losing a child. I'm sure the guilt is unbearable. How about showing a little compassion. Yes, maybe she should have made a different decision, but unfortunately she did not and she paid with her life. So how about you showing a little sympathy for this tragic senseless event. I pray that you never have to experience this kind of heartache in your life then have to read comments from insensitive people like you. Remember the 'Golden Rule' Do unto others and you would have done to you. Think and pray about that.

To Amy's family and friends, you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Please know that she is in such an amazing place right now. I know you will feel her loss for a lifetime but please know that she is happy now. It will get better.

God bless you all and know that you will be in my prayers.

People although this is a tragedy, and there is a lot of fault to be blamed, Lets remember that Amy's family and freinds will read these comments, what they need to read in these comments are prayers and condolences. So with that said, Frank, Dawn and family my prayers are with you and i am truly sorry for your loss.
Thank you for that comment. It's nice to see that someone, other than myself, has the compassion for Amy's family. God Bless you too.

Does anyone know where and when Amy will be waked and buried. There was not information in the paper. I missed Alora's for the same reason. So if anyone knows, please post it. Thank you

These kids have horrible judgment. Maybe Amy was a great kid but she was hanging around with a 19 year old heroin addict and 17 year old who recently got out of rehab. It was midnight on a sunday night before school, this girl was SIXTEEN. Seems like her parents weren't doing a very good job at teaching her good judgment or keeping her safe by not letting her out that late on a school night (hours that no 16 year old is going to be doing anything productive at).

I agree with TomIslander too, that lady is a moron. Both kids killed on woodside ave recently were doing reckless things. Blame the street, blame the police, blame everyone but the dumb kids making bad choices.

I feel like the world gets dumber every day. I think the reason why everyone gets so disrespectful and insensitive about these things is because we all want the deaths to serve as a wake up call. Saying she was a good kid blah blah blah isn't helping anyone. Kids need to realize that they do stupid things, make stupid choices and hang out with stupid friends...they may end up dead like her. This wasn't a random accident that could have happened to anyone. It was brought about by a series of asinine choices. People need to know that, then maybe they will think twice about doing the same.

None of these three were innocent victims. Their path in life started a long time ago...obviously they did not get the discipline they needed and advice they deserved to make rational decisions. Sometimes my parents annoy me with all their rules, but I think it's for my own good.

When a child is allowed to smoke pot at age 13...nothing good can come of that. Parents in denial leads to out of control children.

In January, she was arrested at our high school for ripping off handbags and credit cards, while high on xanex and weed.

Her mother was running through the halls of our school screaming, trying to place the blame on someone else. It was her daughter who was caught with all the stolen credit cards.

My parents would've grounded me for a long time.

If your child is 16 years old and already has a record and allowed to hang out with known drug users with criminal records, somethings wrong.

You’re 100% correct. Many people travel these same roads time and time again without incident. They blame weather conditions, lack of traffic control, poor lighting, sharp curves and everything else under the sun. These roads work well for many because we’re not using them as a speedway, not using them for intoxication tests or for car maximum performance results. With the exception of potholes, there’s not a damn thing wrong with the roads, it’s the drivers. Heaven forbid we blame them though,“Not my little Johnny, he’s a good boy”. Almost all of these fatal crashes are the result of carelessness and poor judgment. If people used a little common sense and logical thinking, these things wouldn’t happen as often as they do. What we read about is a small percentage of how often this really happens.

Grounded, is that all? Don't you mean you would have had your a55 kicked up and down the street and had to make restitution? The grounding would have been the easy part.
