Levy said it. Right here in black and white. The man does not care about any long range financial problems. He only cares about the quick fix that is good for him right now. This way all of us taxpayers can pay for his arrogance long after he is out of office. Every dollar this dope saves us today will cost us fifteen when the moron leaves office. Dump this jerk!!

How much did the County pay these consultants for this brilliant piece of garbage.

Sell all these buildings and in the same article, stop renting and buy the buildings.

All the buildings in the North County Complex are owned by the County not rented. If you leave the Leg. the DA the Med Examiner and the new 4th Precinct building (which is still under construction and is so large, it is obvious it is going to be filled by more than the 4th precinct officers, what is going to be there instead of the current buildings?

Housing????

The County has consultants on top of consultants all getting paid big bucks who produce studies that will eventually turn out to be worthless.

What kind of DOPE are these guys smoking??? The Westhampton site is a PIT! NOT "in the tony Hamptons"... and do you think for a minute that the place isn't going to be a SUPER FUND cleanup site when they start digging? The place is a mess... it's been a toxic waste site for years... and it will take YEARS AND YEARS to clean it up at a cost NO ONE wants to take on!

I'd have to wonder who these dummies were that Stevie paid $300,000 to for such a useless "study"!

Levy is out of his mind... and he needs to go!

Anyone who thinks the wannabee politicians over at the Suffolk County have a clue, then you don't either.

Why would anyone sell prime real estate during a recession...the sales price will be much lower than several years ago...Suffolk County should ride it out...and re-consider selling the property at the peak of the market...

I smell a real estate scandal on the horizon...Some politically connected developer from the Democrat Party will snatch up this property real cheap at the expense of the taxpayers...

The County Government will burn through this money in no time...and then the taxpayers will have nothing to show for it...

Keep your eyes and ears open folks...

First of all, it's the Democratic party, unless you want to start calling the opposition the Republic party.

I agree, don't sell at the bottom of the market.

How do you replace what you sell.Where do you put all these cars that are being seized? Where does law enforcement go to shoot.Sell it. Have a bad shooting and than pay it all back to some attorney who sues the county.
If these are experts Levy has hired than I want my money back, because they are idiots.

Money could probably be saved by not hiring consultants. How much did the study cost?

So. We had to give up raises this year and take deferred pay so that we could build another building? Don't talk to me right now.

Once again Levy cares only about "right now". He is going to leave some mess for the next county executive to fix.

What are they saving all thoe junk cars for. They should be recycled not moved from place to place spewing the fluids into the ground and eventually the aquifier. If this entire county wasn't run by such rectal orifices of both parties there would be progress made and services delivered for a lot less money.

Cars that are seized have to go through a lengthy process before they become county property. Also many of them have been in accidents which make them less desirable and than I am guessing but you probably can't do anything without the okay of county exec. and the legislature coming to agreement.
