This is just a tragic end of a life for no appearent reason. Chris Byers waas trying to get his life in order. He was a nice man.

With this man Nicken's record of abuse why was someone like this allowed to walk around and find another victim for his deranged mind to abuse and kill. This man needs serious help. I truly doubt he is someone who is gonna believe he did anything wrong. He has deep seated mental issues if he thinks he was justified in anything he did. Chris was a gentle soul but would have fought to protect himself. This was a horrible horrible crime.

Im curious about what Chris was doing the past few years? I went to high school with him and had lost track after graduation. He was always getting into some trouble then, but was of overall good character and a cheerful person mostly. He did get busted for stealing back then and even spent some time in prison I recall for a terrible drunk driving accident. I don't think many of our parents liked his influence very much. He didn't come from a very wealthy family and was always pushing the limits quite a bit. Sorry to have heard about his death in such a tragic way.
