Before gay ad came a tour

An S.C. tourism official set up a three-day tour of the state to try to win inclusion in a London ad campaign to attract gay tourists.

Isn't the whole point of a tourism board to attract tourists? Not drive them away? I guess we must surmise that South Carolina does not welcome the gays (or for that matter any other minority)? If a three day tour had been arranged for the senior citizens or Japanese tour groups, I don't think any fuss would have been raised.

I will continue flying over on my way to Miami or Atlanta where the welome mat is OUT.

I would expect a comment like that from the rednecks in Myrtle Beach. But the people from Charleston usually have more class than that. I bet you have glass packs on your jacked up 4x4 pickup truck. I do have quite a red neck but get it from playing golf. No jacked up pickup but my well tuned 1960 Ferrari California Spyder sounds really nice. I just don't happen to like queers, many of whom carry the deadly disease of HIV/AIDS. If you haven't heard, this isn't Russia so I can have and voice any opinion I desire and so can you. Since it's apparent that you don't like mine, you can have all the queers visit and live in the sticks of Litle River. While you're at it, take all the Gingers and Illegals too. I have no problem with your opinion. I am just sick and tired of these dumb azz, s making use look like racist, bigots, and rednecks. Charleston has its share of college student, and tourist. Who will want to visit or live in a place with so many haters? We don’t air are dirty little secrets for all to read. Some of us have jobs in the tourist industry and we do not need this kind of talk hurting are southern reputations. That is the same kind of trash talk that has destroyed the Myrtle Beach community. I agree that it is not Russia and yet in a failing economy the people of Myrtle Beach are trying to ban one of the last truly American groups of people. People buy American and ride American. I’m talking about the Harley Davidson riding true American bikers. I would think that some one in Charleston could learn from the mistakes that Myrtle Beach is making.
