So I thought that in like, 1845, Major Lauderdale fought the Indians, defeated them......then sent them out to the Everglades to live.

Now we are told they can send their police force onto some trailer park, evict the managers/owners without any legal paperwork.........the United States Department of the Interior says they are 'acting illegally,' but some U.S. Federal Judge says the U.S. can do nothing about it because the Seminoles are a 'Sovereign Nation.'

I guess if we had a Governor of Florida or real President of the United States, someone could figure this all out, but since we don't: tough teats.

So just bend over and tie your shoelaces, because there is certainly nothing that you, "my friend" can do about it.

The "native americans" (those we call Indians) lost the battle a long time ago. As in nature, the stronger win. The Europeans came and they won the land fairly as the stronger warrior and were nice enough to let NA's have something to call their own eventually. Then over the past few decades, the NA's finally figured out how to make money and win against "the white man" and so they take advantage of that by pulling stunts like this. Unfortunately, the weapons in this new battle are not going to be guns and tomahawks, but Political Correctness and White Guilt.

I have nothing personally against the native americans, but I do have something against my fellow non-native americans who are big pussies and worried about being PC.

Remember, while the Seminoles have a Land Trust with the Fed. Govt., the Seminole Tribe of FL was the only tribe who DID NOT sign a Peace Treaty with the US Govt.

So, theoretically they can "WAGE WAR" against the United States and its citizens...

Which is what they are now doing...

Remember, upon the announcement of the acquisition of the Hard Rock Intl.,in May of 2007, Max Osceola, Seminole Triba Leader, announced in Times Square, Manhattan,
"They took Manhattan from our ancestors for trinkets, now we are going to take it back one hamburger at a time"...

But now that some tribes have land holdings right in the middle of more populated areas, interact with non-natives more often, and handle billions of dollars in income and assets --- Now the whole situation is getting a second look from legislators.

Me thinks some Native Americans speak with forked tongue. My mother loved most tribes but after living in Florida she roundly condemned the Seminole as '...unsanitary, rude and hostile to whites.' That was in the 1940s. Some things never change....

If they are a sovereign nation, I suggest that we treat then as one.
First, they no longer get free education. They are not allowed to use our public school system for free.
No free ride for college or the university. They should pay full out of state tuition.
Next, no voting rights. If we cannot vote on them, then they cannot vote on us.
Third, no free medical services.
Forth, no Medicare or Medicaid.
Fifth, no welfare payment or entitlement of any kind.
You want to go gamble on the “Reservation”? You must pass through customs and immigrations. You must have a valid passport and up to date shot records.
Let us see how much money they make with this requirement in place.
In addition, if you want to go to the reservation, you must pass through a port area. Port charges apply.
It is time that the Indians understand what it means to be a citizen of the United States. If they want to be citizens of the Indian nation, great! But they must choose citizen of the Indian Nation or citizen of the United States of America.
