Review: Mad Mike's Scooters & Cycles

DO NOT EVER TAKE YOUR SCOOTER THERE IF YOU NEED A MAJOR REPAIR. It will take at least four months to get fixed, they will not keep in contact with you and let you know what is going on, and basically you need to hold their hand throughout the entire process. I really feel that the mechanics are unfit and rude. The only competent person there is not a mechanic. There is a reason that place is a little hut!

Plus they will try to charge you a billion dollars for THEIR retardation.

this thing is hapening to me to. their trying to srew me over for my go-kart some one told me to get it fixed 55 dollkars in total now they say it might be more money

This person actually wanted to sell it to us and we told them that it wasn't worth what they wanted for it.

They are not in the business of buying from people who want too much for their items - any retail establishment is in business to make money - not lose it on items that are not worth what people want.

A lot of people come in thinking they know what's wrong with their scooters or whatever and they are always told that they have to be diagnosed to find the problem. Most times is isn't what they think it is and don't want to hear the truth.

I suggest that you go to the shop and discuss what your needs are - they are less expensive and very fair in evaluating and taking care of the customers needs.

I brought my scooter in for a tune up. It wasn't having any problems. They called me to tell me it was ready to pick up, and when I got there they were scrambling to put it back together (Why did they call before they were ready?). The next morning I noticed it was leaking oil. It had never leaked before. They didn't tighten the drain plug for the oil. Also, the tools that I kept in the seat were all gone and now I have to replace them. These are the facts.

My opinion is that I'll never go back or recommend them to anyone. I'm worried what else they forgot to take care of in the "tune up". Shouldn't a bike run better, not worse after you bring it in to the shop?

Dirty D is obviously the owner or mechanic. Take his posts with a grain of salt.

Mad Mikes are scam artist be warned! It took them a long time (like 3 months) to fix my kids scooter and when I got it back the thing was scratched to hell! The guy with the beard is a racist who says the "N" word in front of my kids, why because we are white?

Said like a true no nothing,it is up to you to check up on your bike as far as the time it took,your bike needed parts from China that were NO LONGER availble and we had to chase a wild goose .Futher more your bike ran like a top when it left. Dont assume its our fault especialy if YOU run your motor with out oil .A word to EVERYONE with a scooter,learn how to do ROUTINE maintenance so you dont blow up your bike.We are not resposible for rider neglect we just do the best we can to fix it for you.This coustomer was a problem from the day he rode out of here.Its not our job to HOLD YOUR HAND and read your mindThe work order says wont start. The plug cap was off .Next the muffler fell off and he continued to ride it,that burnt up the valves,try to find a head for a TANK or a HOWITE you will be online for weeks.I noticed no comment about performence after we fixed what YOU caused.THANK YOU REGRETFULY redneckhippyfreak MADD MIKES

Mad Mike's was a savior for us. My son blew the tire out on his scooter and I had to drive 130 miles after work to pick the scooter up and haul it to Mike's. Even though this was the day before Veteran's day, Mike said he would do his best to get it fixed. My son had to get back to school the following Monday. Mike called us the next morning and we went to pick it up. The cost was very reasonable and Mike gave my son a lecture on bike safety and maintenance on his ride. I hope we only have to visit for maintenance again, but if we do have trouble, we will take the bike to Mike!

Ihave done business with mike's over one year and I've found him to be very open plyable and informative. I have never had any reson to doubt his opinion or his advice.

they are the worst scooter repair shop in south eastern north carolina! people beware of sadd mikes they are nothing but drunks they drink 40's from the time they open there stinky dirt gravel shop until they close.they don't even have a professional place to fix scooters they find there srews on the gravel ha! ha! there dirty nasty so called scooter mechanic's.they don't know there
a-ss from a hole in the ground!! they will tell you they replaced old parts for new ones when really all they did was look around the dump yard and replaced them with other used parts.there is a better scooter repair shop just south of sadd mikes heading towards carolina beach behind cody's pub they are the best clean shop they will get it done fast so your back riding again i would recommend them to any one.they treated me with respect and there prices are great!! thats all i have to saust beware of that guy sadd mike
