I do think that many folks would lay around and draw the unemployment money as long as it is handed out. Not as much as what they earned when working so yes they would go back to work is what most say but I say B.S.. By staying at home and not going to work a lot of cost associated with working are saved so that adds up too. Cost such as transportation, child care, lunch and breaks. I'm sure those on unemployment can think of things that have not even come to my mind. We have no way of knowing who would actually seek out a job unless they had to.

They will normally send you a letter in the mail. I have heard that they are going to extend. Just not sure when.

I just read that they are voting on weather to pass the extension today in congress. So I would think you should hear something in the next couple of weeks. I think we are all having a rough time. All I can say is keep your prayers said. :)

I know what you are saying. I'm kind of in the same situation. I don't know what to do either. I hate it when people tell you to go out and get a job, when they really don't understand your situation. All you can do is ask for help and pray!

Yea, but then there's no telling how long it will take them to get all of the letters in the mail. Guess all should be grateful...

I have seen requests for applications at McDonalds, Thorntons, most all restaurants....
Guess it depends on how bad you want to work.... Course if you can sit home and draw enough, why bother.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Sagittarius

Mercury turning retrograde in your house of finances carries a rather unseasonal message, because it's telling you to pay attention to your finances over the next few weeks. If you already know that you've overspent this month, you won't need to be told that a few economies are just around the corner. Get the facts straight and pay attention to the small print. You may also have to make some adjustments to an intimate relationship so it can move into another phase.
