You don't have to quit your job. You have your girlfriend go down to Main Street to the Massachuesetts Social Service office and apply. She will state the father of her children left her and she has no way to support her kids by herself. The kids have her last name not his. She gives them a phony name for her boyfriend that left her so they will never be able to find him.
Meanwhile the real father is still working and lives with them. Welfare agents have never done any home visits or checks. The so called live boyfriend can never be DNA tested because it is his civil right.
They still have their self-esteem, their expenses are paid for and his paycheck pays for all those new large screen tv's in their apartment. The kids are in welfare funded daycare everyday so she still has plenty of free time.
The only thing they can never do is get married, buy a house and the kids can never have the last name of the real father.
I guess many people really don't know how the system is abused.
Well if you did that, would YOU still have your self esteem?

I am sorry you don't get out much or maybe you are on welfare too. Welfare doesn't buy the Escalade the so called live in boyfriend (father) buys the Escalade because welfare takes care of the other expenses. Maybe you should become a cashier at DeMoulas and see first hand the items purchased with that blue card.
Obviously drug money supplements welfare. I guess you are not educated enough to realize the point I am making is your tax dollars are being wasted to supplement the abusers of welfare DUMB DUMB !
I'm smart enough to know that 'welfare' doesn't come from the SSA. SSI, SSDI, Title II, Title IV benefits come from SSA, but EBT cards don't. They come from DTA. And you have to had paid into the system to get SSA benefits (unless you're a child of a deceased parent who paid into the system). So the live in boyfriend selling drugs buys the escalade. Hate to burst your bubble but I work for an agency that works in partnership with DTA to fight fraud. No need for you to imply I'm a "welfare" recipient, other than inflating your own ego. Get over yourself.

Here's the link to the form, report these friends of yours who you listed as abusing the system. You know alot about their private affairs, so you must be a close aquiantence.

This would be a problem? Attracting out of state shoppers because our tax is lower? Out our end of the state, we would have tons of New Yorkers coming here to shop, since their sales tax is 7 or 8% and they tax clothes and we don't. Advertise it in Eastern New York and they will flock here.
This would be a huge benefit to Western Mass retailers near the border. Plus, maybe people nearer to New Hampshire would stop going over the border to buy over there to avoid sales tax.
Did You Ever Think If The State Did Go Bankrupt, Thats would solve the problem right now there is so much money going places no one knows that this would bring it to a head, And NOW you would find out where the money is really going, Who say you have to follow though with the Bankruptcy just partition to file, then we would see the wasted money this would force the state to finally balance it's check book

Everyone saying how your fire department and police departments will get cut if you lower the sales tax are wrong. The state has already slashed in a major way the money given to towns and that is with a 6.25% tax. I would rather pay a slightly higher property tax with that money staying in my town and going for my services rather than pay the fat cats on the hill more money.
Very true

HA! Our taxes are high enough. Do you REALLY think if they went up more the services would improve? And don't forget all the NON-PROPERTY owners who will benefit from our increased property taxes. No way Jose!!

Massachusetts Sales Tax Relief Act, Question 3

The measure, if enacted by voters, would reduce the state sales tax rate from 6.25 to 3 percent.

A "YES" vote would reduce the state sales and use tax rates to 3 percent.

A "NO" vote would make no change in the state sales and use tax rates.

How will you vote on November 2nd?
yes

Uh wrong, your property tax will not go above 2-1/2% to compensate for the sales tax if it gets lowered. They will cut fire and police. They already have every year even with the sales tax staying as it is.

The state posts all payments on the open checkbook website. If there is all this waste, why aren't the republicans in office bringing it to somebody's attention? How come none of the commentators can point to the waste? At the federal level, you have both parties in power and have for the past 20 years, why does the deficit keep going up and up? It's all a sham, and it's all just talk, that's why. Stop listening to people that are just telling you what you want to hear and start thinking for yourself. Taxes are at the lowest they've ever been since the income tax came into effect, you can't get services for free, so stop whining.

Look at the big picture. Vote for the 3% tax. Then see a new tax pop up. Maybe your land tax will go up or alcohol or tobacco or water or utilities etc. The people that will bebefit most from the decrease will be those coming from abutting states whose sales tax is higher. Mark my words. Lived in New Hampshire.
You're right, if 3% is passed, a new tax WILL pop up. Guess what..... If 3% isn't passed, a new tax Will pop up! This is Massachusetts.

As if the child sexual molestations and union violence aren't enough up north, now we have an unbelievable mass murder in Connecticunt. And this is a cultural thing. Here in the South, we are family oriented and attend church Sundays and Wednesdays. We are moral. The northern states, on the other hand, are morally bankrupt with very low church attendance, rampant sexual perversion, rampant crime. The north could learn a thing or two from us Southerners.

Daily Horoscope for May 21

Aquarius

There simply aren't enough hours in the day today for you to do everything that's on your list, so concentrate on the priorities. Don't feel guilty about what's been left out and start to worry about it. This isn't an easy day because you're feeling pressured and anxious, so don't expect too much from yourself. There's less energy than usual, which doesn't help.
