It is simple. Bill the Plump can reach out to one, or more, of the K Street Transportation PACs for the dollars to make good his photo-op check. Heck, if ol' Fat Jack Murtha, "King of Pork", can siphon dollars for his airport, Bill the Plump can get some too. And look what Louisianas Mary Landrieu just got for her state:$100 millions for selling her vote. Of course, Bill the Plump will pony up the $330K. He's Bud's son, isn't he?

He will provide. The check won't bounce. Remember the movie starring Tom Hanks about Charlie Wilson? Chubby Bill knows the ropes and will work the system to get the dollars. Keep the faith.

Don't leave out William Jefferson, Democrat, who is sentenced to 13 years for being a crook on a level with Chris Dodd, John Murtha, and others in the Democratic Party from Chicago.

What response did Shuster get to his letter about SSVC? Did Rendell send Bill a signal with his middle finger?

Of all the needs locally in today's economy and the next couple years ahead, extending a walking trail???

Really, this needs to become a top priority of our Congressman??

Give me a break please.

Billy was quick to get the picture taken. Then what? They are all the same...

Obviously, the project is not among the top 10 projects for Shuster. It was a photo-op a long time back and it's supposed to fade into the mists of time. It comes under chapter 4, "The Games We Play on Constituents" of the Shuster Handbook for Staying in Office.

Now is not the right time. Wait till next summer when Bill is in re-election mode. He'll show up with a second "big check" for a second photo op.

Trails to Rails. There was a rail project floating around long ago. A lot of people liked the idea of cutting the CSX tracks to be used as a transit operation. It was cut below the knees before anybody actually heard of a plan. I was interested in a Bud RDC just for this idea at the time but, as we have seen nothing. Bummer. The Idea was to work with CSX and schedule a train from point A to point B with stops in between if needed. Long story more boring.. It very well might still work.

Pork, Pork, Pork!!! It's why constituents love their legislator (as long as he delivers the pork) and thinks the rest of the "crooks" should be thrown out of office. Walking Trail? If you want it get off your butt and build it. It's not the responsibility of the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.

And then people ask the question why the government has to borrow money?

330,000 for joggers and hikers?

Here's a '' NOVEL IDEA '' pay for the necessities , then divide up what's left over , if any , for the free money programs...

Only after they plant another dozen money trees!

Why do these fools need another train, when they can just as easily give them a damn bus?

Why would we still want to put money into this project when the county's budget is in jeopardy? Our county needs to rethink some of the options. There are a number of issues that are very different from a year or even two years ago. Maybe they need to read "Who Moved My Cheese", their cheese surely has moved and we either need to look for new options or revisit what's left.

I can hear the pigs lining up at the trough.... squeal, squeal... If you want a toy in your area, pay for it yourselves instead of asking why the rest of the country hasnt paid for your pet pork project.

Love it! The equivalent of Shyster getting his picture taken giving the borough a check for $330,000 ... and it later bounces! Typical.

Another train? Where is a commuter train in this area? A bus? Print the line and a schedule, we'll get back to ya.
