time to replace it for the 21 century, you have the park built, you have a park in town. put up a steel bridge for people that live on the other side of the creek instead of them that live there. only time people visit is when you have the rubber ducky race, other than that know one cares about the bridge until the supervisor want to spend the money on it

The last paragraph of the article is a gross overstatement - No, steel is not necessary for a covered span to carry vehicular traffic, there are many examples in PA and elsewhere, that prove otherwise.
