Perhaps. Or perhaps there are other factors at play. It's a complicated thing.

But if you're concerned about price gouging, maybe you should support your Democratic lawmakers who want to eliminate the huge tax subsidies we are providing Big Oil.

Perhaps the price of oil wouldn't be so high , if those very same democrats had passed an energy bill that included drilling for oil ,, not shutting it off

How long should we wait , till obama lives up to his latest promises??

Judging from past experience -- hell will freeze over first!

This kind of thinking is why I don't vote for Shuster . This fool obama should not have shut down the drilling in the first place . Drilling for oil under Mr. Bush was up by 20%$2.30 per gal. under our fool obama it has been for a year and a half down 80% at $4.10 per gal. If obama had done his job in the first place we would have gas at$2.30 per gal. Shuster should have been yelling drill fool drill from the begining not a big thumbs up for doing what any child would know to do the right thing .Idiots giveing praise to idiots this seams to be the norm and for over a year I paid top dollar for my gas . Its about time DRILL FOOL DRILL !!!

Your the idiot since this drilling isn't going to lower the price at the pump as it says in the article. This is not an issue of supply and demand - it is Wall Street squeezing us one more time.

The main reason for Obama's action on domestic oil production is that he is campaigning for re-election. The bump he got for OBL's removal from planet earth is now gone and his disapproval is back to 46%.

Yes, Obama the Corporatist will certainly be re-elected and I would bet my paycheck on it. Hey, I voted for him - loved all those things I thought he was going to do for the middle class but hasn't.

Can't understand why Republicans don't like him - he is doing their bidding for them. Very slick.
