I sincerely hope they don't need 15 thousand for a washer/dryer.

If you read the article closely, you will see that they are not washing/drying "clothes". Protective clothing, hoses etc are not compatible with your avg. Kenmore.

If they do as you say, it can and does damage the material, which can lead to serious burn or death and also decreases the life of the garment!

These washers & dryers are not your run of the mill, household or commerical units. They are specifically designed to clean and decontaminate the protective gear fire, rescue & ems personnel wear.

The very easy answer to this is to stop all federal & state funding-grants and immediately institute local fire-ems taxes to support their operations 100%!

WOW I could hear you all scream then!!!!!!!!!!

Where do you think federal and state grant money comes from?? The government has no money, they are returning a small percentage of the tax money they took from us, the tax payer.

Vince, I'm fully aware of where grant monies come from, but do YOU realize that if a fire-ems tax is implemented, it would be in ADDITION to all the current taxes??????
