In the 2004 Republican primary for the 9th District, Michael DelGrosso ran against "Budlite." One of Bill's staffers was arrested while spying on DelGrosso's headquarters and a fundraiser near the family's amusement park near Tipton,PA. He confessed on TV. This nearly cost Shuster the election as it was widely reported on W-TAJ TV and the Altoona Mirror(it was barely mentioned in the PO, and not at all on W-HAG.) Bill trailed in all parts of the district except Franklin Co. It was his huge majority here that allowed him to squeek out a 51/49 win overall.

All you people saying enough is enough with Shuster - who, come on, has really done next to nothing in Congress... how does he win by a huge margin every election? Without even campaigning???

It's because you people still vote for him. I guess your view is that a Shuster is better than any Democrat. It's so sad, someone new might actually bring those college-level jobs we need so badly. Or improve our schools. Or push some economic development. Or do ANYTHING.

Shuster voted with President Bush 99% of the time. I'm not saying we need an Obama lackey, but we do need a moderate who cares about the district and not the status quo.

The man needs to go! He hasn't done anything and if it wasn't for his father he'd still be selling cars...but not many in this economy.

One thing I like about incumbent Congresspeople is that after a long time in Washington they learn how to do two things. Make themselves rich by allowing their vote to be bought and to talk out of both sides of their mouth. In case some of you didn't notice I haven't noticed anytime since Clinton was in office that Government got smaller. Oh Shuster and the gang will claim they are going cut taxes and cut regulations on business but the only real jobs this line of BS has created are low wage child labor all in China and since Phil Gramm and the Republicans deregulated the banking industry Middle America has been ripped off. We can have tax and spend Democrats or tax cut and spend Republicans and if you are dumb enough to believe somehow that will benefit you keep saying that when they send your job to China if it isn't already on its way. Ps. neither party has cut the deficit. We need a third party not more of the same.

But, as soon as Mr O-bum-r and his "for the people" administration get things in the real estate market moving, my house will sell and I'm off to FL!
P.S. I'm not holding much "hope" on that real estate thing happening.
I'll chip in five bucks if it will get your dumb a/s/s/ going quicker.
