Oh yes... lets get all warm and fuzzy... He was the biggest supporter of getting the alchohol bill passed along with Greg Visser. I have no sympathy. Oh, and suicide... well that's a fast track to hell!

Coke head...hmmm... that really makes you sound creditable about anything you ever say. Have some respect. This man is passed away and all you can do is disrespect him? Why don't you just go do another line Coke Head.

Do you have a problem Greg Visser?.. or the fact that they wanted (along with many others) to have the alcohol bill passed?

A Person

Coke Head, people like you make me sick. Did your mother raise you to be a cold heartless human being?

Does it really matter if he was addicted to coke or not? Many people have addictions, that doesn't mean that someone out there doesn't love them and wasn't hurt deeply by his suicide. His Mother's comments were "He means everything to me". Any person that is left behind by the victim doesn't hurt any less because he was a cocaine addict. He was a human being and people thought that he was a good person. By the way how would you know about the quality of his cocaine unless...mmm...PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN GLASS HOUSES SHOULDN'T THROW STONES!!!!!

This is funny! poor Dan is taking a dirt nap. I'll give him credit. He probably did enough cocaine that he didn't feel a thing. Those are gonna be some really happy worms

Mr Coke Head, Why dont you go back to masterbating to tansexual internet porno and let Dans family and friend grieve in peace.

I would hazard a guess that at one point in Coke's life he considered Dan a friend. We can see now that was a poor choice on Dan's part. I would also guess that when Dan pulled himself up and began to get right with God, family and friends Coke felt left behind because, obviously, he wasn't able to do the same for himself. You are wrong about Dan, Coke. It is you who is on the fast track to hell, there is a very special place reserved there for you where you will spend eternity alone. Probably not too much different than your life right now.

While there, I was made to feel very welcome and Dan always had smile on his face. He made each of his customers feel welcome, mentioning many by name when they entered his restaurant. I will remember him for that. I am sorry he was involved with drugs (if he was) and I am sorry that he felt there was no other way out of his circumstances. May God comfort his family and friends during this difficult time.

Dan made a lasting impression on everyone with his smile and friendly demeanor. He was a warm person and had a great heart and smile for everyone. My heart goes out to his family and friends that are left behind to grieve. God is a mercyfull God. Noone has the right to judge him unless they are without sin and we all know that is impossible. May you rest in peace Dan.

What a horrible way to talk about a man who has passed away. As far as the person who says if people cared about him they would help him, the person who has an addition (if he did) needs to hit rock bottom and get help himself. The Holland Sentinel had interviews from many people of all ages that had very nice things to say about Dan. People who commit suicide are very depressed. Suicide leaves a lasting feeling of guilt and emptiness for family and friends. God has compassion for people who are ill from a mental health problem as well as medical problem. Dan did many nice things for the people in Zeeland and put his heart and soul into it. Instead of using horrible language to discribe him you should be praying for his Mom and the rest of his family who loved him and misses him very much. I'm disgusted how many of the above comments are so mean and vile. You all have problems yourself. Try some compassion and help someome out who is less fortunate than you.
