Right, Erik is working in a war. Thankfully, most of us do not have first hand experience in war. My dad rarely speaks of atrocities in his war in the Pacific. Holocaust survivors are becoming fewer, but the ones I have met have never been afraid to speak their minds about it.

Erik and his company are making billions off this war and our dead soldiers. Laws have been passed to protect them from the atrocities they have commited and we wonder why Iraq is not embracing the U.S. as their saviors.

Supply and Demand. Blackwater offers the 'Supply' while the Bush administration facilitated the 'Demand'. Both are reaping the rewards of a mis-managed war, both are profiting immensely, unfortunately at the expense of our troops.

Blackwater/Eric Prince did not have to bid on the war contract. The contract was awarded based on political contributions to Bush. It is shameless profiteering on the taxpayers' dime.
Blackwater mercenaries are paid $600 per day, how about our soldiers?
Blackwater mercenaries are provided 5-star accomodations compared to what our soldiers get.
Blackwater mercenaries are free to act with impunity, and can murder innocents without consequence. Our soldiers face court martial if they even accidentally shoot someone.

The whole thing smells bad because it is bad. Erik Prince used his ties to D*ck DeVos and greased the palms of republicans with cash, and now he's cashing in big time with this war profiteering scam. And we are paying for this.

groups like blackwater have been involved in almost every US military action. they can accomplish tasks that the military cannot as they do not have to adhere to the UCMJ or any signed treaties. they are, unfortunately, a necessary evil. there are many things that happen that civilians don't know or need to know.
