I think every town has a variation on cry baby bridge. I have heard about a giant snake called Slippery Sam over around Wewoka.

We've all heard the stories about Witty Road. The lady with the lamp looking for her baby is an oldie but a goodie. Don't forget the Indian Cemetery where if you throw rocks into it they'll come flying back at you.

moon-puppy, every one at moon dawgs is getting punked by YOU! You should be on the thread about gays. I can't believe there is anyone left in this world as stupid as you! I can't believe that you've lived long enough to spell. You are a punk, will always be a punk, and die as a punk. If you are trying to be funny, you quit that after you were three. I bet your momma is either ashamed of you or hates you. I can't say the same about your daddy, cause nobody knows who he is, including you.

one of the Wilbanks boys from Calvin did a TV documentory on the South_Eastern Big foot, you may contact them. Mike Wilkerson did some docs. on Lizzie Borden, and also wrote "Someone Cry for the Children", about the Locust Grove Girl Scout Murders. Slippery Sam was a hoax instilled in the 1950's by, I think, Ira Newmans wife and daughter. They made a large snake out of cloth. It was supposed to live in Wildhorse canyon behind the old Tom Fixico House North of Holdenville. The snake was as big arround as a stove-pipe and stretched across the road(as was told) There are some interesting spook tails that concern Perkins Crossing, a rock crossing across the Canadian River where Little River joins. It is the old California Trail. Not enough time to tell the tales, or space.

I used to live in a house on N Gulf that had some strange things happen in it...

1 night i had gone to bed late... and I heard my dad coming up the stairs... I thought to myself... oh crud, I'd forgotten to refill his prescriptions and he needed me to do it so he could take some (as has happened on several occasions) I heard each step on the stairs creak and then footsteps coming down the hall and stopping outside my door... I called out that it was ok..that I hadn't gone to sleep yet... I'll be down in a second to fill his meds... No Answer! I repeated it again... still no answer! I though OMG he's had a heart attack right outside my door... I jumped up and ran to the door and flung it open... and there was no one there. scared me to death...

A few weeks later, there was a tornado that was "headed" towards Holdenville... I called my neighbors and asked them to go get my kids and dad and take them over to their basement... The oldest girl who was a senior at the time went over and got them and called me back on my cell asking who else was still at the house.... I told her no one... and she said there was someone upstairs in my bedroom because she'd seem them standing in the window... I told her that was impossible because i had a dresser there and you couldn't stand there. I got there a few minutes later and ran through the house and there was no one there.

stuff like that was always happening...

I think some guy by my house got his head cut off riding a 4 wheeler try to escape from something when he hit barbed wire. That would be the headless 4 wheelman.

What is it with you guys and MoonDawgs? Why don't you all start a moon-dawgs post, so the subject matter isn't smeared with trivial stuff unrelated to the topic?

the stories i grew up hearing years ago about crybaby bridge is from a small bridge south of holdenville just west of 48, north of the 90 curve north of the lake. bigfoot i heard was west of gerty, and then the stiginys were all over hughes county. i think every town has its own version, i have heard several.

I always thought the cry baby bridge was the Witty Road bridge out at pecan grove. If you parked on the bridge you could hear a baby crying and then the mother would come looking for it and then there was a monster that would come out from under the bridge too. Maybe two different bridges..

That's the one. Although every town has a cry baby bridge of some sort.

No one's mentioned the angel at the cemetery. It's feathers are supposed to feel real.

I have paranormal or weirdo things happen and other people with me see these things too. Some people don't want to admit they see things because they think it is demons at work, or they just ignore whatever it is, or don' pay attention to what is going on around them. I have been told this alot. What do you people who experience paranormal events think, or how do you feel about them?
