From years ago, there were no thugs in Holden. Holden was a great place. If you want to talk about nowdays, start a subject about all the drug dealers in Holden and how they keep on getting by with it. Betty Lambert and her son, for example. A real family affair. LMAO.

Holden was a vast area based on the tipple number. Frogown is due east just out of Holden proper. 7 and 8 are just up the road a ways. Frogtown was a switching area for the trains. That empty space is now referred to as "The Froggydome". 7 is a hillside community. You should refer to names like Clay and Bryant in your search. Also Niece.

To Chelcie. Stop your drunken texts. Shut up.

leftybro,
Camp # 7 consisted of 3 streets. First Davis, Second Davis and Third Davis. Futher up the road was Sulfur Springs or Copperus mine. Camp # 7 or as we kneew it 7 & 8 was named after the mines number seven and eight.
I was raised in main Holden on Beebe Street during the 50s and 60 s. My grand father was the Chief Mining Engineer for Island Creek Coal Company from 1922- his retirement in 1957.
Frogtown was just above my street and above the old Holden Hospital. The next camp was Sycamore.
I hope this helps.
