Barret had little to do with this outside of giving his blessing. The credit goes to the local artists, the comminuty members that help and MCLA.

He didn't start it. He censored creativity and ideas more then anyone else in the city. The artists weren't as dumb as he hoped this past election.

Art in empty spaces goes back long before Barrett was in office. I remember art filled empty store windows on Main Street in the 70s. Then Rudd did it for a while and was criticized by Billings on his TV show. It wasn't until the college took over that Barrett gave it his endorsement. Anything to fill all the empty spaces he couldn't occupy in 26 years made him look better.

Dont start that Alcombright hasn't filled them either. Barrett had 26 years. Alcombright has had six months. When Barrett started downtown was full. When Alcombright started it was half empty.
