Are you serious? You want the dental work for the jail. Everything that Lew "wants to implement" at the Sheriff's Office already exists. From the Green Energy to Work Release Program. Lew is a joke. What about his double dipping? He collects his travel stipend for being a Rep and gets a break on Federal taxes. Plus he works as an attorney. He triple dips!! Lew is a sham.

Here we go again, another letter writer trying to get a job at the jail. I would love to here something from Lew that will actually change the jail. Everything he is saying so far is already being done, can't be done or the sheriff doesn't have the power to do it. Many of you Lew supporters really need get educated about the county jail system and the sheriffs office.

I was a strong supporter of Lew Evangelidis, held signs and so on. I was appalled when I read the newspaper article that exposed the real person he is. We all thought that he was a little odd and acted way to excited, it all makes sense now. And to learn of his deal cutting (Glodis ect) with the papers has made me sick. I'm thrilled that I found this out before the election. Sign me no longer a fool.

Experience and change?

How on Earth can someone who's a lawyer and politician have more experience than someone who was a State Trooper, and an officer at that? Seriously?

The incitytimes is the joke. The writer is unstable at best. You read a blog and take it at face value? Lew doesn't even drink but now some lunatic writes it on a blog. Do your homework and realize that the "experience" foley has is working on a case 20 years ago and got a cushy desk job out of it. Oh, and by the way, Whitey is still at large...Great job on that one.

The newspaper article didn't say he drank, the newspaper's opinion was that he was "coked up" quite a difference. The Telegram also exposed his underhanded ways a week earlier, from what I hear there's more coming. He's not what he portrays himself to be.

I don't think running the Massachusetts State Police is a cushy job, a cushy job is ambulance chasing, personal injury lawyer...

I'm aware of what the incity said...my point is that Lew doesnt even drink, why would anyone believe he does drugs. And underhanded by pointing out that Foley is currently collecting a $112,000 tax free DISABILITY pension and now wants to collect another salary on top of that. PLEASE!!!! This is exactly why this state is going bankrupt.

And running the State Police is a pretty cushy job. Ask yourself how much one has to earn to be getting $112,000 pension? That's a pretty cushy job to me.

And PS...incitytimes is not a newspaper. It's a blog written by a bias person with far too much time on their hands and an ax to grind because Lew didn't buy a coffee v

Managing 3000 employees, a $250million budget, you call that a cushy job. There are CEO's of companies that have a fraction of the employees that Foley oversaw and they make several million dollars a year. As ar as'm concerned he was under paid and his $112k pension was earned and well deserved. A cushy job , give me a break

I haven't determined who I am voting for yet, but to be fair, Foley's pension is not a regular pension, it is 72% of the average of his highest three years because he is too disabled to stay in his "cushy" desk job. How is he now ok to run the Sheriff's Dept but not the State Police? I don't get it and it is not fair for you to make people think that he just retired, he left because of a disability and if he is able to continue working in a similar position, he should not be receiving that pension any longer. It's people like him that give us hard working public employees a bad name.

If he truly wants my vote, he will notify PERAC that he has been cleared to work and take his true retirement pension, not a tax free disability pension and if he gets elected then so be it. But if he is not willing to do that, I think his integrity is really in question.

He worked 30 years for the SP, most of it in the tranches,he worked his way to the top job, that is not a cushy job desk job. Lew was a state rep and a former ADA for less than two years, can't get any "cushier" than that.
