No offense to Ms. Peterson (and maybe it was the way the article was written) but eight different heirloom plants isn't that huge a deal. I'm a novice and I have more than a dozen different heirloom plants growing (60-something plants total)...

I've gone the old plastic wading pool route and it seems to be working out well.
