The Giampino's are a bunch of disrespectful animals who should have never even shown up. All they did was create trouble for a family who is trying to mourn their loss. They are not the victims. Everyone seems to have forgotten about Laura today and it's a shame.

Stupidity all around. How sad that a scene broke out in a funeral home. Disgusting too.

The families don't seem to have any
self-control which is probably why
this girl grew up so screwed up!

Hands up anyone who is truly surprised at this behavior. After seeing momma on the tv and looking at the myspace page, this is basically predictable.

Sounds like there is another planned murder
in the works. The husband may have something to worry about when he gets out of jail.
In the photos, everyone looks like they are
on drugs. The eyes say it all. This is a
true live drama that is better than some
books.

So true! the Giampino family had no right to attend the services they have no respect for Laura and her family they were not welcome and should have had enough respect to stay away. A mother is distraught having to bury her only child they should have shown a little compassion and stayed away. Mikes parents the Giampinos are a wacky pair she walked around with a bible at the funeral parlor acting like she belonged there she should have taken herself to the county jail and given her son a little guidance rather than harrassing this poor family. The drama was incredible they wanted it to be all about them and kept calling the police and carrying on like animals Shame on this family. The apple came from the tree. Put them all in a cell together.

gee i don't know - nothing has come out saying that the couple was separated, so I don't know why they should not be there to pay respects, though such should be done in a appropriate manner.

Mom is obviously having quite a bit of grief, but given everything that has come out, this sad event while tragic was not necessarily unforseeable...it seems a lot of these people need therapy...a lot of therapy and some common sense while they are at it...

This whole crowd needs a couple of gallons of bleach and a really strong filter for their entire gene pool. Sometimes when you live like trash, you die like trash.

The problem is the girl met this guy the mother wasn't happy with him because he is a criminal low life the daughter rebeled and married him and the friends and problems came along with this marriage one of these friends is now a murderer and the poor mother just wants to remember her child before she got mixed up with this crowd, they were only married for a few months and the mother of the victim is the one who needs the compassion and respect right she doesn't need to have a reason just what helps her get through a wake is to help the family heal everyone else is secondary. They could have said goodbye and left instead of harrassing these poor people for hours. They have no consideration if they ever loose a child (death not jail) I hope they gain some perspective. They were like a circus act minus the fun.

Since this is almost as sleazy as the joey and amy saga, it is almost a given that it will be a made for tv movie before the end of the year. Crap sells.

Why didn't Laura's parents request a private funeral? Someone stated there had been 'bad blood' between the families for years so they should have forseen trouble.Sorry, but behavior like this does not endorse sympathy.

As an outsider looking in, with no knowledge of either family, I also am not surprised. Even though mom may be in shock, did you see her on tv? The first time I saw her on News 12, she was very angry and emotional but I didn't see her shed one tear. Then again, that may not mean anything. But the next day on tv, it seemed to me that mom had a haircut or at least had her hair done and with a little makeup on. If I was truly grieving, I could care less how I looked to the tv audience. She obviously has something against the husband, as if he was to blame for her daughter's behavior (nice myspace page, right? someone in the famly could have at least set it to private like the husband's so that we wouldn't have been privy to all of her info). Talk about showing respect for the dead. It sounds to me like mom is jealous of the relationship her daughter had with her husband since they hadn't been close as of late. Mom and her daughter's friend on News 12 better know what they are talking about because they were accusing hubby of having a part in the murder, even though he's in jail. That's defamation of character. As a mother, I can empathize with Laura's mom because I would never want to lose a child, but I can't find fault with the mother-in-law for wanting to pay respects to her daughter-in-law. It sounds like they had a better relationship than Laura did with her own mom. How sad that in this time of sorrow, these two families can't get along for the sake of Laura.

am I missing something here ? If the husband had nothing to do with it, and it appears that he didn't, and even assuming there was bad feelings between the families, this was a funeral for God's sake. The deceased should have been the focus along with her family. I don't understand the statement, "anyone connected with this murder shouldn't be here" by Laura's Mother. I didn't read anywhere that his family was involved in anyway.

Why is this even news? There are so many other important things going on and Newsday decides to print this nonsense? This is catering to the national enquirer mentally, what a rag of paper, you dont see the journal or the times printing garbage like this, it belongs on some afternoon talk show.
