Not to mention what an amazing kid this is - how he makes people laugh and would give you the shirt off his back.

Dont spit in the wind if you have kids. It really isnt funny to make fun of a teenager being critically hurt while bike riding. Yeah kids are sometimes retarded while they are riding their bikes and the woman that hit her is probably devastated so why add more to a sad situation... It isnt like the article said she was drug dealing at the time, or an illegal immigrant running from being deported. Give her a break.

Read the comments again. We're not blaming the driver. We're blaming the idiot on the bike.

Don't be so quick to judge.

Kids will be kids, LI is not the same playground it used to be. Too much traffic and speed these days, I hope he makes a full recovery. mountain biking up in PA is quite exciting, get away from the smog and pavement.

He's not and idiot on a bike, you clown, he's a child who made a mistake and may pay for it with his life. I will pray that you never have a kid who makes a mistake and almost dies from it. Have a little compassion you dumbass!

"Too much traffic and speed..." Yet on another forum, you bragged about how you break the speeding laws all the time. Guess the wind is blowing in a different direction today...or maybe you can now see the consequences of irresponsible driving.

Youíre right, heís not an idiot on a bike. Heís a stupid moron who got knocked off of it because dopey decided to cross the path of a car. Sixteen isnít exactly a child anymore. Most have enough common sense by that age so maybe his brain is childlike. Donít worry about me producing children that would be so stupid. My gene pool hasnít been contaminated.
Iím sorry that no compassion was shown. I hope the woman driving the car gets over this soon because it wasnít her fault. Feel better now?

I didnt say you were blaming the driver. I said it is not funny to mock a teenager who was critically injured while riding their bike (even though she was probably riding erratically like all teenagers do). It is a fact of life that kids and teens (and some adults) do not watch where they are going when they are on a bike. Does this make it right? Of course it doesnt, but it sounds like the bike rider was doing what all kids and teens do on bikes and that is not paying attention. Last I checked that wasnt a reason to think it is funny when they get hurt.

Now if you have read my posts in the past, you will see that I am all for payback when a person is doing something retarded or illegal, but I do not think that a kid on a bike being hurt is funny. Sorry. And I am not judging anyone, just stating my opinion like you all did.

Peace.

So do car drivers. Most are clueless about the rights of cyclists on the road. Drivers cause most of the car/bike accidents because they "think" cyclists have no rights.
