More corruption

Stoughton, MA

#1 Aug 17, 2009
The word on the street is that the "executive director" Terry the tic from the chamber of commerce is pretty upset that his mug was not on the TV for the zip trip. It looks to me that lately there are a lot of very angry local businesses that are just realizing that he is the only paid person in the history of the chamber of commerce.$ 1100.00 per month! for a voulenteer position. The ones that I have talked to are not renewing next year...Maybe he will stop shaking the local businesses down for donations, and black mailing them if they do not "play ball"

This town does beat business' into submission for money. More Big fish in the small pond syndrome, continues... Terry better not be getting paid, for a volunteer position, If there is proof of this, then it needs to be verified, and ended..

People who post without a clue are quite pitiful. ALL chambers pay their directors. When the Stoughton Chamber was a boys club with 50 members, they met monthly at Albert's. Now, the Chamber has 200 members and has to pay someone to do all the work. Maybe you should apply for a job that is 50 hours a week for $1100 a month. Terry has helped the local food pantries, the habitat for humanity, the community events committee and dozens more. What have YOU done? NOTHING. I figured that. Stoughton is sh*tty to business, but not because of the Chamber. Those who run this town make businesses do hoops to get and keep their licenses. THAT is the corrupt crap happening in this town. I know. I am one of those businesses!

Did anyone see the tick's letter in the Journal endorsing Murphy for police chief. He should keep his mouth shut and let the search committee do their job.

Please let us know who started this thread. Could it be a chamber member who neglected to pay their dues and got tossed? Thought so.

Murphy is a shoe in for the chiefs position. EVERYONE already knows that. It just hasn't been made public yet. Welch and Blount will be on his heels. NO DOUBT.

Terry Schneider does many things that benefit the town of Stoughton, and he has been doing them for years. He gets involved in dozens of events, both on behalf of the Chamber of Commerce, and on his own. He is constantly advocating for the businesses in the Chamber, not just asking them to donate to the many worthwhile causes going on here all the time. He gets people around him excited about getting involved and he has provided great leadership as the Executive Director of the Chamber. No need to put that in quotes. He IS the E.D. Get informed before you speak! The only thing Terry wanted last week was for the Fox 25 team to showcase the restaurants and businesses that support the Chamber, and therefore, support the town of Stoughton! THAT'S HIS JOB! He does it well!

Terry took the chamber from a small group of all volunteers, to a larger organization that can pay a small honorarium to its director. Congratulations to him.

the ONLY way to clean up the criminal cesspool is to get an outside chief, no conections at all, it's just so obvious and is just plain common sense, but this is stoughton, the criminals will be all over it. just look what happened to the state police LT.

If Terry is doing his job so well lets see how many "members" drop out next year because of his leadership
Hey long time

When were you a member? What company are you with? Please detail the extortion you talk about in a previous post. Chamber attorney is VERY interested!

Not sure who started this blog but they must have a personal issue with Terry. Unfortunately because of that they are trying to damage an organization and a person who has done more for the town than most. As a business member of the community and a resident I must praise Terry for all the hard work he does. Is there any other organization in any town who helps the schools, youths, elderly, hospitals, food pantries and the business community plus the list keeps going. Hopefully the person that had started this blog understands they are the one who will damage one of the better organizations in the town not what Terry does. The people that know the chamber and what it does will understand this is not a member or really has no interest in the town of Stoughton or its business community.

Whoever started this stupid blog did it out of personal animosity towards Terry. Everyone who is a member of the Chamber knows the poster is full of sh*t. Typical of the individuals that start most of these stupid destructive blogs. If they used their energy in a POSITIVE way, we'd all be better off. And, what's with "the tic" anyone? Does Terry have an eye thing I never noticed?

A tic is something that latches on you and sucks everything out of you including money, food & other free things, and when you stop giving the tic moves to another.

When I think of Trry I don't think of the definition very strange of the author.

When I think of Terry the follwing words come to mind:

He represents all that is good in our town. To the rest of the 27,000 resdients of Stoughton (and I am sure the majoroty of the Chamber memebrs) thank you Terry for all you have done for us.

Keep it up. We need you!
