All shows on the community channel about the town are rubbish, just more agenda and gossip!

Well i guess S.M.A.C is doing the right thing and moving the show sit down stand up to a later time which is a good thing.

We are paying hundreds of thousands of dollars in fees to Comcast and Verizon on our monthly bills for cable access. They built a half million dollar studio and have produced ONLY 5 NEW shows, of which three are hosted by a guy from Taunton. It's become a cozy boys club with crap aired to entertain each other, rather than the community. In most towns, the SMAC charter would have been revoked, and a new nonprofit formed to run local access. In clown town, the chair of the selectman is president of local cable. And so it goes!

Interesting that Steve Innis on Murphy's show talked about the four original shows and how it has grown to 8. Shirley does her show in Framingham. Murphy is in Easton. Snyder is gone. Cohen is the only one left in Stoughton. Enough said. The new "additions" include two unwatchable sports shows, one unwatchable movie show, a guy cutting down a tree, and the late night show (which isn't that bad.) All in all, I'd agree, Upper Hand, a waste of $500,000 in OUR fees.

He is not on in Taunton. They only broadcast quality shows there. SMAC's best show is the fights--Tuesday nights at the Selectmen's meetings!

None of you people seem to understand what public access television is. Those two paid employees that all of you bitch about DO NOT MAKE THE SHOWS. They teach people how to use the equipment and then the volunteers, after they are taught how to use the equipment, go and make their own programs. From that point the staff puts them on the air. I have been to cable access stations all over the state, helped out on numerous productions and learned what goes down at these facilities. A few things are ubiquitous. There are complainers and naysayers like the lot of you in every single town. A legion of no talents who sit around and scream about how bad the world is without ever attempting to straighten out the mess in their/your own lives. Pathetic. You guys rip SMAC a knew a**hole without even bothering to go and use the facility that your precious tax dollars pay for. I'm shocked that you folks know how to navigate the internet let alone hold a video camera. Why not go to SMAC, take the classes and make shows of your own since all of you seem to know better. But of course, once you dominate the airwaves you won't have anything left to complain about. I'm sure I know who a couple of you are, hiding behind your little monikers, safe and snug in your homes residing in a town that no one gives a crap about. GET LIVES AND MOVE ON OR GO ON TV AND SCREAM ABOUT HOW MUCH YOU HATE WHAT IS ON THE TV. PUBLIC ACCESS MEANS JUST THAT. D.I.Y. DO IT YOURSELF.

Murphy said he was at a board meeting with smac's big cheese about a week ago. Had I known I would have gone and shown those jokers where it was at. So wish I knew what happened at that meeting. I'll bet Murphy took 'em all to town.

While I'm no fan of that channel or anyone involved it should be noted that none of us pay for the intrepid smac employees to create content for us. The only shows that they "make" if you want to call it that are the selectmen, any town stuff like parades, concerts and all that. Not like they are supposed to sit around taking requests from us or even worse trying to guess what we want to see. They couldn't possibly develop anything I want to see anyway. But like someone else said here it's really up to us to make the shows. Make fun of the comedian all you want but last I recall he is making 3 shows. He's from Taunton. Why aren't more Stoughton people getting involved? The way we get involved is to get angry and sit idle. If I could get away from the kids I would go and do a show on skiing or something.

I agree with "Falling down" and "the Wrath", but I wish they could produce more coverage of government affairs. Why just air the BOS meetings? Why can't all the meetings receive coverage? I frankly can't believe two people can stay busy full time with what is one their plate currently. Seems to me, government access should be on their job description and hours should be spent filming various town events/ meetings weekly. Multiple airings on consistent weekly schedules should be worked out like how it was under Comcast in Easton. Seems things were much easier to find and view back then.

It does suck and I don't watch it, except for selectmen's meetings. I tried. Watched all their shows over the past month or two. Never again. I'd rather watch paint dry than trees getting chopped down. That "comedian" is pathetic.

simple turnpike or simpleton for short, you've completely twisted the reality. At least for me and several others who have pointed it out, we don't watch SMAC either due to quality or availability of programing. We would like to and I suspect most of us watched more community programing in the past. Now, less the BOS meetings, there is little if anything left to watch or find.

Hey Dip Turd... Why talk about SMAC if you dont watch it???

This town has been in the hopper for years, watching a community channel is a waste of time!
