Imprisonment, sodomy charges dropped in text-message rescue case

A west-Georgia prosecutor has decided not to pursue false imprisonment and aggravated sodomy charges against a man who had been accused of sexually abusing a teenager he met over the Internet.
But Ted Roy Williams, 59, of Hogansville, still faces charges of sexual exploitation of children and attempted child molestation that stem from two other cases, authorities said.
Pete Skandalakis, district attorney of the Coweta Judicial Circuit, and chief assistant Monique Kirby said there was 'insufficient reliable evidence' to pursue the imprisonment and sodomy charges. Read more

This story is false. I live down the road from this man and he is still in jail and was going to court yesterday to try to negotiate a plea deal. I don't know how this story was initially published, but there is no fact to it.
