Open carry is legal everywhere in KY except within government offices, banks and schools. Even though it is legal it's usually frowned upon. If you don't want to be hassled go to a class and get your CCW.

100% legal. Not asking for trouble. Exercising a
right.

It is NOT frowned on. Only by ones afraid of guns.

Freud said persons afraid of guns is a sign of sexual immaturity.

The Punisher emblem is to draw attention.
Stop him and ask questions.
You will get correct answers.

I know that it is 100% legal. But it is 100% frowned on. Ask a cop. When someone decides to open carry in a populated public are they get flooded with "man with a gun" phone calls which in turn will get you hassled by the police even though you are not doing anything illegal.

Sorry, trollin. No calls around these parts. Not Etown. Nor Bardstown. Nor Versailles. Nor any of dozens of other areas. Unles you want to start calling in to prove a point.

Last time I was hassled was 1976 in New Haven.

I know 100% first hand that there is calls. I'd give you a badge number but that might be a little much.

Just a little useful info:

Traveler's checklist:
*Standard firearms ownership: unrestricted, no permit or license required
*Semi-auto gun ownership: unrestricted, no permit or license required
*Machine gun ownership: no state restrictions, compliance with federal law only
*Firearm law uniformity: preemption law, firearm laws uniform throughout state
*Right of Self-Defense: NRA-model castle doctrine, right protected by statute
*Open carry: unrestricted in most public areas and generally accepted
*Concealed carry: licenses granted to residents on a "shall issue" basis; automatic
recognition for all carry permits from other states
*Vehicle carry by non-permittees: loaded firearms may be carried in plain view
or stowed in any factory-installed vehicle compartment
*State Parks: concealed handgun carry by recognized licensees permitted
*Restaurants serving alcohol: permittees may carry while eating in dining areas - see p.3

No, I'm afraid of the idiot that thinks they HAVE to carry a gun out in public on a hip. It's asking for trouble and too convenient to pull. Freud is dead. Get over him. He also said you had penis envy and wanted to keep touching one in a holster. Stupid law. funny they can't be in banks, schools but can be on the sidewalks. Why the need?

I have always felt that people who have a CCW should be allowed to carry in schools, universities and banks. All it would of taken is one person with a CCW on the VT campus to stop the shooter.

True, the state of KY does not say you can not carry a firearm in a bank, but the bank just like any other business can say that you can not carry a firearm if it is posted in accordance with KY law. I would like you to tell the bank you have seen that does not have the proper postings forbidding carrying a firearm. And if you do not follow their wished you are committing a crime.
Why would you

Why would you even want to think about walking in a bank or a school with a gun on your belt unless to call attention to yourself. God knows, the people at the bank are under enough stress for you as the village idiot to walk in showing off. And school kids, are pretty much trained to go into panic mode when they see a gun. you are just an idiot. very insecure to think that the next step you take you will need to pull it. why don't you go home and pull your tallywacker instead?
