HIGH ELECTRIC BILLS

United States

#1 Jan 19, 2008
Say no to high bills and excessive payments and salaries - Jesse Tilton, Clay Norris, Ken Raber, Estherine Davis, Art Hubert are over paid.$6m in salaries for public electric service. The salaries at this place are ridiculous.$6million. Then add hundreds of thousands of dollars for out of court settlements because the old widower CEO can't behave himself around smart white women and you have a mess. What other entity would bail out, time and time again, a CEO for his inappropriate behavior. I would hope one of these ladies would break stride and sue him and his crooked lawyer.

Your electric bill reflects these excesses.

Call and express your displeasure with Electricities where the CEO has received hundreds of thousands of payments for sticking it to the taxpayers. There you will find a seriously over paid Jesse Tilton, Clay Norris, Ken Raber, Estherine Davis, Art Hubert. The salaries at this place are ridiculous. Then add hundreds of thousands of dollars for out of court settlements because the old widower CEO can't behave himself around smart white women and you have a mess. What other entity would bail out, time and time again, a CEO for his inappropriate behavior. I would hope one of these ladies would break stride and sue his butt out of the state and his crooked lawyer with him.
SAY NO to $6million in salaries which result in INCREASED operational costs on your electric bill

Scotland Neck and the new mill owner now know what the rest of us know. You cannot do economic development and create jobs when ElectriCities is siphoning off profit to pay for big raises, an overpaid CEO and out of court settlements. The mill could open if several million dollars was used to cut electric costs in these small towns instead of lining the pockets of out-of-staters comes to town to profit off the backs of hard working eastern North Carolinians. Say no to Tilton and ElectriCities

Now that Partin is out, I'd like to know how much of each citizen's light bill has been reduced? I heard that Mills was going to lower our utility bills.

Another topic. If the salaries you mention above regarding Electricities are "ridiculous" and "excessive", then would you call the current Mayor trying to get the Board to pass a grant proposal that would pay his own daughter a $500,000 lump sum plus $3,000 per month?

He will need to go to Raleigh and demand a stop to excessive spending so he can save you some money. That is where it hits the wholesale rate before it ever gets to the City.

If the new Mayor is doing that, he should be ashamed, it is in the same category as ElectriCities. For shame. This is all the people's money.

You will all want to attend the Electric Rate Committee Meeting June 27, 2008 in Rocky Mount 10am Library

The purpose of the meeting will be to review current cost projections and consider possible rate changes. You know what this means, someone at ElectriCities screwed up and the rates are going UP UP UP. Nothing scotland neck can do. Jesse Tilton, once again, bad decision.

Staff people are leaving ElectriCities in Raleigh in packs. Unqualified people are being hired, without positions being advertised.

The lobbying team is in shambles

The lobbying team at ElectriCities is going doooown hill reallll fast. Alice Garland - gone - went to work for Sen. Edwards; Jeannie Bonds - had worked for Chief Justice Burley Mitchell - gone; Dan Crawford - had worked for Brad Miller - gone; Ken Melton - had worked for Virginia Foxx - gone; Theresa McFaden - had worked for Cass Ballenger - gone. Who's left? Anyone with experience has come and gone. Novices are all that is left. Definitely says something about the leadership and what it says it ain't good. Bottom Line. No one wants to work anywhere near Jesse Tilton or Estherine Davis. Meanwhile contract lobbying numbers keep increasing. And the latest addition Karen Johnson has no experience. A good time to run legislation against these cities. They have NO team in place. Say no to ElectriCities and rising rates and say NO to Jesse Tilton.

You People get to stop attempting to spoil the issue at hand and the Scotland Board is a joke and have been on the take for so many years it ridiculous. So when you attempt to persuade the people have your facts in line. Most of the Town Board homes get restored on a 3 year basis which is Grant Money that is suppose to be used for the entire town but they change a door or replace a window which they indicate cost $40,000 only to put the money in their Pockets. Raymond Watson attempt to Keep a Strong Hold on $1,000,000.00 located at BB&T which belonged to the Town because James Mills became Mayor. Lets get "TRUE" Stories out like these ones. What about your Chief of Police which have had Various charges in the past. Joe Williams is about the best one you've had with a clean back ground. So get a life and spread the truth not fallacies.
