A little consolation. Maybe an "at least..."
Concerned citizen, that is an impressive piece that you referenced in the URL. I don't think the reversing off of interest income will apply for most of the investors as it's likely that none of the interest was reported on their tax returns in the first place. After all, the tax preparer and the payer of the interest is one and the same. However, it is possible that some investors will have to pay money out of their pocket into the pot even if they are innocent of the fraud; The Clawback Law. Did I read correctly that the receipt of money in the last two years could result in fraud in so much that ill gotten gains were received from the latest victims? Certainly could be fraud if the monies were transferred to a special group or close associates.I read that part twice trying to make sense of it. Any insight?

You won't find anything in Jack's safe but blood, sweat and tears for all he did for you Greedy Investors who keep on wanting more and more! If he hadn't have gotten sick you would still be sucking him dry! If you would have given Jason a chance he would still be paying you just like he has for the last year!
You're an idiot. Jack's sickness only sped up the process. This scenario was inevitable. How are people asking for THEIR money sucking him dry? Does this same principle apply when you go to your bank & make a withdrawal? No. A legitimate investor will always ensure that the depositors investment is accessible upon their demand. Jack was not running a hedge fund in which shares were issues. He was taking loans that were payable upon demand.

You people really have nothing better to do than sit around and gossip and speculate..and no I am not referring to the ones that have lost money..you have a right to be upset, but the people that are not involved..but whoever is watching them get thier mail and come and go from thier home, and then reporting it on here...GET A LIFE, find something better to do with your time! In the great land we all live in, your INNOCENT until your PROVEN GUILTY...last time I checked, still no criminal charges had been filed.

Good job and thank you for the information. I know a lot of us just want to be updated because the authorities don't seem to care. Soddy Daisy Police took my mother's complaint and said they couldn't anything but that they would forward to the proper people. Who are the proper people and why is this taking so long. The FBI should be involved. Thanks again for the info and please keep us updated.

You leave Jack alone, he is bad sick. I have known Janet since high school and she is a good person. For the last two years Jason has done everything and everybody nows how honest he is. Nobody has been charged with anything, so shut up!

I never invested with Jack but know many that have. The only question I seem to have is, If everything is honest and legit where did all the money go? I hate it for the people that lost all the retirement they worked so long for.

Everybody thought he was so smart, including me,what a bunch of fools we were, we trusted him, and believed in the fool! He just stole our money and gambled it away, what a sick man he was,and that little boy of his, he was in on it every step of the way! Old, broke and mad!

I have to wonder IF Jack did all these things (that so far seems possible) did the Lord take his health from him. It seems the richer Jack got the more his health declined.

An arrest would warrant the arresting party to pay the medical bills of the perpetrator. What good would it do to arrest someone that is confined to a nursing facility? This would only drive up expenses for the government. The money could be better used paying the victims back. Rent at the trailer park is about $110 a week plus utilities. Two or three people with entry level jobs could easily pay that rent and buy enough food to stay alive. All money above the minimum would be paid to the victims. No jail time. Someone in jail can't hold a job and make money. House arrest; no fancy cars. A 1980 Honda would be just fine. Keep felons working and not piled up on their cot in prison.

A few years ago I approached Jack about investing, he told me that there was no promise of a certain amount of a return, but typically he was getting 10-15% return but that he couldnt produce a contract. At this time he did tell me that he could write me a promissary note for half of the investment. He told me that he could sucessfully turn my money around but that in the stock market there are no guarantees. I chose to open up an account with a firm in Knoxville.

Karen, how did you know to approach him? Did some of your friends turn you onto him or did you hear about it straight from him?
