The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. AND I WILL STRIKE DOWN UPON THEE with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy My brothers. And you will know My name is the Lord when I lay My vengeance upon thee.

It's not funny. It is sad. You aren't very "righteous" if you find joy in others misery. These people need help. Substance abuse can strike anyone. let he who is without sin, cast the first stone.

I agree "Not Funny", while I would like Hinton to be a different sort of town without obvious vice on our streets day and night ....laughing at these peoples misery instead of helping them in meaningful ways as a community and mental health system is not an answer. I would rather these people remain on ours streets than the mean spirited self righteous pompous obviously full of himself having anything to do with Hinton's welfare!

They have all the free help they need. All they need to do is accept it. If they can't make it here, they can move, but they don't need to ruin what was once a fantastic little town, for everyone else.

Wilbur....my main point is why would anyone laugh and take such delight in others misery.......Jesus didn't and these people doing it here are doing in in the name of their God........it is as sad as the behavior of the drug addicts.

I mean come on some of them I know for sure don't use nor sell! So that being said worry about your own self.

Exactly, Brookie. And no, they dont have all the help they need. The only access to drug rehab is FMRS, and I am not totally sure on the ins and outs but it is limited. Someone that works at FMRS said their clients get around 60 dollars in SNAP benefits a month. I dont know if you have looked around Hinton lately, but there aren't exactly a lot of jobs people can do with a high school education. To get employment they would have to drive to Princeton or Beckley and that takes a working vehicle and gas which is expensive. How many of us can say we wouldn't need assistance if our parents hadn't have helped us? Some people can beat the poverty cycle, but it is very rare. When your parents are on welfare and dont encourage you or help you the task seems impossible to better yourself. The harsh conditions of poverty lead to substance abuse in a lot of cases. So, if you want to quote the Bible, let's talk about how Jesus said to help your neighbors. If you want to clean up Hinton GET SOME REAL DRUG REHAB HELP AVAILABLE to people. Not just a methodone clinic but counseling and other support systems.

No one is taking delight in misery. I am, however, taking delight in the possibility that some of these socialist dumbasses are getting put away.

Like Righteous Man said, I work everyday and I pay taxes everyday; for what? So, these assholes can stand on the corner of 3rd and talk nasty to the people who walk by?

I don't think so.
