She is not "to blame" as you say. Neither of the political parties would compromise and it was her job to send the email out that ordered the shutdown. She had no choice, it was her job. A lot of local idiots want to blame Obama for this shut down. While Obama played a part he did not act alone. The very people who are angry that Obama wants affordable healthcare for all will hold their hands out for free Medicaid, foodstamps, and anything else they can get. Hypocrites!

I have always said they should only offer welfare assistance to elderly people on fixed incomes. The young people should only be allowed to get emergency assistance for maybe a month while they look for that thing called a "JOB". Its help when needed not a career! If they cant generate more jobs in this country then let people who have put in 25 steady years working in a lifetime retire and force the younger ones to fill those jobs and learn the trade. Everyone thought they was going to sit on their a$$ and get free medical care so they voted for Obama....well folks here we are....when will you learn???? NOTHING IN LIFE IS FREE! There is literally also people who will now have to take their grocery money to buy insurance. Its always the working people like myself who get screwed because we have to fund the healthcare AND fund welfare so no win situation! Smarten up and read between the lines of the healthcare reform bill that no politician has read in its entirety! I have to work supporting the dead beats so that when I get old the Social Security is gone that I have paid into. Wow...what a bright and fun future we have to look forward to!

once a tree hugger--always a tree hugger. if you do not possess conservative values in these times you and your liberal agenda are a dying breed. reap it and weep. wake up before it is too late, your friends are 'spending us into oblivion', you cannot 'print your way out of thiese issues we are facing--take your medicine.

These conservatives are always crying because they "work so hard" while everyone else sits on their arse. Take some of your own advice and get up off of your arse and go get a degree so that you can work smarter instead of harder. Liberals are more silent than conservatives and yet when it comes time to vote we put Obama in office. Scream on.

I lost my insurance through work because of obamacare. And through obamacare with my income insurance will be 650 a month which I can not afford. So I'm going to have to pay a penalty in my taxes for not having insurance. I'm going to be paying out at the end of the year what my old insurance costed but guess what? No insurance! I'd be better off quitting my job and go on welfare. Thanks obama!

I am amazed at how much the government shutdown has hurt me and those around me. NONE! So what the National Park Service has shut down in WV and other places. The NPS is one of the biggest consumer of taxpayer money we have. In fact, leaving them shut down might be the answer to our deficit. Let the states take care of the parks within their borders with federal grants that would be half what the NPS spends now. In our area alone can anyone show me an economic benefit from having the NPS? I can show a closed Theatre West Virginia that is no longer open that sits in the middle of a National Park (Grandview)

Yes, and the Hinton is worse off because of its prejudice against trainers. Hinton will never be revitalized until there are more housing options near downtown. Home buyers have regular incomes and an interest in keeping things going and attending. Another senior housing thing is not the right option. Also all senior and handicapped housing has income limitations for which people like me do not qualify. I, and many others are above the income guidelines but would have money to spend on downtown but most available housing, between the way they are made, narrow lots, and no off street parking are beyond ever being made accessible.

You know here is what is funny (but not in a fun way)
My son is a college student and is working. He is 20.
He had to explain to his fellow coworkers what the shutdown means.

I suppose he is working with the likes of Martin Ray Billy.

Oh, and should the above care to actually read; here is an article back from 2010

" http://www.investorsinsight.com/blogs/john_ma... ;

I personally don't care who delivered the "message".

I think that what everyone is forgetting, is that is also has to do with the federal deficit.

I had to explain to my now 20 years old child what raising the debt ceiling means.
In terms of that, I said;

What it means is that you owe $20,000 in college debt and then you, even though you knew that you had to pay it, might have to work two jobs to pay it off.
But you don't want to work two jobs.
So out of nowhere, you raise your debt to $40,000 to give you time to pay it off.

My child then says to me, "Well how will that ever work? I will be paying more and not really getting anywhere".

So I think aside from Obamacare, there is a bigger issue at work here.
