My grandmother told me to sparay name brand windex on grease stains and let it set for about 30 min. Then wash in hot water with a clove of garlic amd 1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar (white vinegar may work). This will work every time.

The chapstick was in the pocket of my pants when I washed the clothes together and that is why there are chapstick grease stains on all the clothes. Sorry I didn't explain that in an earlier post.

Best Suggestion Ever!

Wear these clothes as work clothes, and go to Macy's and get more, they're having a sale. As you stated earlier, these clothes will certainly be overwashed by the time you complete all of the tests suggested.

I forgot JC Pennys, Kohls, and Elder Berman

let me know how the biz works. I let a girl borrow my favorite pair of pants and they had every stain imaginable when i got them back. I used biz and they looked like new again. I don't think I would want to wash my clothes in garlic it's offensive enough just to have it on your breath. How would you get that smell out of your clothes?

Just put corn starch or baby powder on it and let it sit for a day or so. I wash chap stick in with my clothes all the time. It might take a couple of times to get it all out. It soaks up the grease. It works on grease splatters on clothes too.

I know this was posted a long time ago, but did anything work that you tried? I'm trying to find something that everyone says works before I wash my clothes a million times...
The main reason I'm so worried about it is 'cause I borrowed my boyfriend's really expensive hoodie and now it has oil spots and I'm freaking out..

Try the posting right above yours. The baby powder worked for me but I did have to put it on 3 time and let it sit and then wash.

When I worked at McDonalds I used mechanic hand cleaner like GoJo hand cleaner that mechanics uses. The cheaper brands at the dollar stores works just as well.

Oh my. I did the same thing to a whole load of my scrubs I wear for work. I left a tube of burts bees tinted chap stick in pocket and washed and dried the whole load. A good estimate is about 350$$ worth of scrubs. I have tried, Awesome, OxiClean Stain remover and Palmolive Oxy Power Degreaser dishwashing soap. Nothing has worked!! Please let me know if you try anything that actually works.

I just did the same thing with my dark gray work shirts. They don't belong to me, so I really need to get the spots out. Anyone know which if these things works best without fading the color?

I forgot I had a stick of chapstick in my pants pocket and out them through the washer and dryer. Luckily it didn't get on very much, but it did get on my volleyball uniform. I was able to get it out with Dawn Dishwashing soap. My jersey is made of 92% polyester and 8% spandex so maybe that had an effect. It only sat for about 24 hours after being dried. First I wet the entire jersey until it was soaked. Then I spot treated it with those that had the chapstick on it with the Dawn, applying it generously. After that, I scrubbed with the bias with my fingernail until the spot came out, which it did easily. After getting all the chapstick out, I rinsed it well and put into the dryer on delicate.
I hope this helps! Again, Dawn Dishwashing detergent worked on my polyester volleyball uniform.

I washed and dried all my backpacking clothes with chapstick and they were riddled with grease spots. I used Oxyclean Max Force prewash spray, then washed and hung dry the stained items. Once dried I'd inspect for missed spots and do it again. A couple of washes and I was good to go. I was really impressed with that Oxyclean product. Lesson learned.

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to remove grease marks from clothes after they've been washed and dried? There are too many to spot treat.
